The space
Harmony Acres Ranch is located in a quiet, rural, high desert location that enjoys unspoiled views of the dark, star-filled night sky and the distant twinkling of Jerome, perched high on Mingus Mountain.
The Airstream is fun for solo travelers, romantic couples, friends, and small families. Well-behaved dogs and children are welcome (provided no one chases or harasses the animals). The Airstream comes equipped with cooking appliances including a microwave, a 2 burner hot plate, drip and K-cup coffee makers, toaster oven, pots, pans, utensils, dishes, some basic seasons and oils, and a Magic Bullet blender. It is also equipped for awesome outdoor dining with a griddle-top grill, picnic table and chairs and a fabulous sunset view.
Additional conveniences include a Blu-ray player, movies, a movie projector and portable screen that can be used outside for movie night under the stars. Cell reception is usually pretty good. There is also a selection of games and books to enjoy for non-electric fun.
The Airstream's screened windows allow for lots of fresh air and sunlight, and black-out curtains provide privacy. The linens are organic and comfortable. Towels, shampoo, and locally-crafted goat milk soap are included in the bathroom.
Guest access
Guests are permitted access to most of the farm's 5 acres. The main house and back yard are excluded, but chairs on the shaded veranda are available to enjoy. Guests have shared access to the fire pit area [local fire restrictions may be in effect during dry times].
Access to the animals is permitted (when petting tours are not being given) but is limited to outside their stalls and enclosures, unless accompanied by the owner.
The farm borders the Coconino National Forest and guests may access the public land out the farm's back gate.
Other things to note
This is a camping/glamping experience on a working 5 acre family farm. Our farm is filled with friendly animals that you can pet and feed. Athough there are appliances, air-conditioning and heat, there is a limited amount of electricity and hot water, so we ask that you be considerate in your usage. While the neighborhood is quiet and free of traffic noise, the animals here neigh, oink, bleat, baa, bark, cluck, and crow (including early morning). The chickens free-range all over the farm. Ear plugs are provided if you want them.
Additional items and activities available as add-ons include: farm fresh food and eggs, star-gazing hammock for 2, additonal cooking appliances, kayaks, bikes and horseback rides.
