France's capital city, Paris, is located around 200 kilometres to the south of Courset.

Hames-Boucres, only 25 kilometres to the north, is regarded for the Les Six Bourgeois and the Musee des Beaux-Arts et de la Dentelle. You will regret it if you miss them.

What could be more rejuvenating than listening to the sounds of the ocean on the shoreline? Spend some time at Camber Sands or Dover Beach for a memorable day out.

Mother Nature's splendour is on display around Courset. Just 35 kilometres away, Cap Blanc-Nez is a terrific place to start. Cap Gris-Nez sits 30 kilometres away and is another nice spot for a bit of downtime.

If you can't imagine a getaway that doesn't involve sports, investigate the event schedule at Stade Julien Denis. It's likely something will be happening while you visit. You can find the venue 35 kilometres away in Calais.

Take the opportunity to go to other close-by attractions, such as the Hardelot Golf and the Golf d'Hardelot. These are situated 9 kilometres west in Tingry. Don't want to call it a day just yet? Nausicaa and Basilique Notre-Dame are in Hesdin-l'Abbé, 12 kilometres to the west of Courset.

Keen to explore the Chateau Musee, St Nicholas Church and the Casa San Martin? Then head to Echinghen, 15 kilometres away. Notre Dame de Boulogne and Basse Ville are also close by and ought to be on your travel plan.

Step inside the region's history museums and craft workshops and soak up everything they have to offer.

Are you feeling as though you'd like a bit of fresh air? Think about planning a visit to one of the surrounding area's lighthouses.

Get some insight into the region's fascinating past by exploring one or two traditional villages and war relics and monuments. Do your research beforehand or seek out the most enlightened tour guide you can find.

Yearning for some calm? You might just discover what you're looking for at Courset's churches, cathedrals and monasteries.

Delight your taste buds and fill your Instagram feed with mouthwatering pictures by trying out some of the region's richest food and drink offerings. Just be sure to hashtag 'yum'!

You don't need to dither over the menu while in Courset. Get stuck right in and sample the region's signature dishes, such as potjevleesch (meat stew) and carbonade flamande (beef in beer).

It can be difficult to separate the wheat from the chaff when it comes to outstanding beers, but one brew worth knocking back is Pelforth Amber. Grab a pint and drink up!

Experienced travellers usually put in the effort to learn a couple of expressions in the local tongue. You'll find that being able to speak with the local people isn't just convenient, it's great fun too! 'Bonjour' can be very handy. It translates to 'good morning'. 'C'est combien ?' ('how much is this?') is one more you may need.

Celebrated throughout the country, Bastille Day takes place on the 14th of July. If you're lucky enough to be here during this important day, it'll be hard not to get swept up in all the action!

Like all good things in life, your time here will eventually come to an end. When it's finally time to depart, say "Au revoir / À bientôt" and spend your remaining holiday allowance on some unique keepsakes.
