Kind and helpful staff. Comfortable room. Location was good, easy to walk to many restaurants and the main plaza. Only bummer is that doorbell is a bit loud, so you can hear when people buzz to be let in. However on that note, the property is safe and secure. Most importantly the hotel helps to support underprivileged children in Cusco so I was happy to choose this property over others. Would recommend!
We stayed here as a base for a few trips. Hotel has a great atmosphere, the food in the restaurant is very good too! You can also get packed breakfasts for those early starts which is really useful.
One night we stayed in the room with share washroom, the room was far from the washroom and it was ok because it wasn’t noisy a bit cold at night but they have a heater and extra blankets. Secind night I decided to be in a room with washroom happened to be beside the reception area very noisy and you can hear the doorbell and the employees talking. In overall is clean and food is good.
I actually only stayed here for a half-day while waiting for my late night flight. But I stayed at their other location (Meloc) and it's very similar. Make no mistake, it's a hostel. But having your own room means you get privacy and space. It's more like a budget hotel without a bathroom if you don't get the private bathroom. The property is pretty, bathrooms were clean, and I could see myself staying here for a few nights. During the day you might see kids who are part of the program here in the recreational areas.
We stayed in hostels most of our trip and the last night we stayed at Ninos. It was a nice change to stay somewhere that was an upgrade. Rooms were beautiful, food smelled great (we never tried it ). I'm not sure if it was worth the 80$ US we paid for it though .
I enjoyed staying at this quaint hotel with it's lovely courtyard and traditional décor. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel also helps disadvantaged children.
Compare to Nino hotel meloc, Nino hotel Fierro provides more spaces both in the room and in the shower room. The service is excellent without doubt, provide us everything we need: drinkable hot water, in-room heater even it has been very late at night. I recommend those who need quiet to sleep late in the morning choose meloc than fierro because there is a ball court right next to the rooms at Fierro. Kids play balls in the morning. And the hot water for shower is limited in Fierro compare to that in Meloc. It ran out fairly quickly for one person shower. But the food provided are as awesome as that in meloc.
Love, love, love the Ninos Hotel!! Great location, very friendly staff, adorably charming hotel with half of its proceeds going to the children's foundation! Highly recommend!
I loved this reasonably priced ETHICAL ACCOMODATIONs hotel. The attached restaurant was equally awesome, with their mango smoothie to die for. That all their profits go to support local children's education and nutrition needs is commendable beyond compare.
Nice hotel with very friendly staff. Attractions of Cusco are within walking distance. Nice court yard for relaxation. However,
rooms face courtyard and tend to be noisy if guests are in the court yard.
I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Niños Fierro. Room rates are affordable, although you don't get what you're paying for. This is made up for by the fact that all profits are for an orphanage supported by the hotel. The rooms are very basic, but clean. They don't retain heat well, but you get ample blankets and a space heater, so it isn't a problem. There are no meals included in your stay, but the restaurant attached to the hotel is really affordable and the food served is the best I had on my trip. Staff was helpful. Overall, while you can get the same quality hotel for a lot cheaper elsewhere, but it's still not unreasonablly priced, and you get to feel good about directly investing in the betterment of some orphans. I would both stay here again and recommend this hotel to friends and family.
The hostel is a 10-minute walk to the main square in Cusco - it was easy to explore and eat in the area. Cabs were easy to find to get to the airport/train station. There was a brief water and internet issue our first night, but it was resolved by morning. The staff are attentive and nice, and the restaurant has great breakfast/dinner.
We had a lovely stay at ninos hotel. We were there 4 nights prior to the Inca trail. It's cold at night so appreciated the fan heater. The hotel is located about 10 minutes walk from Plaza De Armas, up a dark road but we didn't experience any issues apart from locals going to the toilet in the street which wasn't great. Breakfast isn't included but they have an on site cafe which does lovely breakfasts and coffee at an additional cost. WiFi in available in case and courtyard.
We had to move rooms when we arrived as the toilet wasnt working. Annoying had to move rooms (back to original room - where the toilet broke again but my husband fixed it) on our last night. We had no prior warning and no real explanation why. Bit frustrating but overall a good stay.
