Lovely boutique hotel experience. Comfortable and good value for money. Nice location with great views of Da Lat. only small downside was food in the restaurant.
We stayed here recently for the second time in four years--albeit accidentally! The place is charming, lovely, really feels like a getaway and we were excited to be back. But walls are paper-thin, so pray for quiet neighbors. And it's annoying that there is no agreement or discount with the adjacent restaurant, and that there is no breakfast available even if you want to pay the restaurant's high prices. Note that there is no heat in the rooms--but the beds are warm--and that sometimes the outside lights are left on all night, which is not so great when the curtains don't cover the windows. (Our first night was both noisy and bright, but the next two were ok.)
We had the best stay at Banyan Eco Lodge. It was a bit further out from the main cafe’s/shops, but easily walkable. The room was spacious and comfortable and so relaxing. There was other areas around the gardens to sit and unwind also. While in Vietnam it was a nice experience to wake up to birdsong instead of bike and car horns for a change! Would definitely recommend to others.
I love the setting of this hotel, it is traditional, beautiful and unlike those chained hotels. It’s open and airy. The room is spacious. Although the hot water didn’t seem sufficient for shower of 2 people.
Nice Hotel with friendly staff. Short walk from the city center and lake (though the walk back is a bit uphill!). The attached restaurant serves freshly made, tasty and healthy food. The choice is somewhat limited, but then it's a small kitchen so I guess that's why they try and keep it simple. The staff here is extremely helpful and tuned to your requirements. Ganesh manages the place very well and has interesting information to offer to guests about the local sights. He is ably supported by Toby and a few others. Great place to stay I'd say.
Banyan House is a beautiful old house a few minutes walk from the centre of town. It has lovely grounds and shared seating areas, and Biang Bistro next door is awesome - very handy for monsoon weather. It's a lovely place to relax and eat great food.
We stayed for 3 nights, and for most of that time the hotel was half empty. Our room was very comfortable.
One downside was the building work being done in the courtyard - I think they
are extending. We were disturbed at 8.00am by a jack hammer digging up the courtyard. When I complained, the management did stop the builders, but I wonder why they kept the hotel open during major renovations. It put me off using the shared lounge areas - the builders were all around that area.
I wish they also had put leaflets or maps of the surrounding area. We had a guide book, but even so, it's something you would expect to see and it would have been helpful.
The lake is pretty and we had a great day tour of the local sights, seeing the waterfall and the cable car and monastery amongst others- both are excellent and highly recommended.
The property is very nice and with a cozy styling. Our room however was very basic and uninsulated. Since it was quite windy we could really feel a draft and the room was very cold. We needed a space heater to keep the room comfortable, but the bathroom was freezing cold.
The cleaning should be better - we found hairs in our bed when checking in, and there was a stain on the linen as well. The bathroom had ants running up the wall as well.
The service from the staff is very friendly and nice, location is great, and the restaurant is very cozy. The only problem is the standard of the room and cleaning.
If you are family, please consider it.
House is not so far from the city but can not moved on foot.
But there is rarely a taxi and even you find a taxi, a taxi driver didn't go to this area. So It is difficult to go out/in at the evening.
Please mentioned clearly one the introduction.
And this house kinda glasshouse and poor window. So There is huge wind come over the window at night. You must have a stove.
Even you move a room in the villa, it is not so big differnt.
Only the Summer season is fine!
Hot water in each boiler is very short, After one-man showers then stop to supply hot water. Even one-man is not enough for me, frankly.
