Wide-awake at night? Could be that intrepid spirit of yours! So what's stopping you? Get up, dig out your passport and book a ticket to Dabo!

From Dabo head 70 kilometres north and you'll come to the prominent city of Saarbruecken. The busy streets of another great city, Mainz, are situated to the northeast, roughly 170 kilometres away.

Head further afield of Dabo and get ready to enjoy some wonderful natural sights. Just 25 kilometres away, Mont Sainte Odile is a fabulous spot to get a little fresh air. Also make time to see Mont Donon, 15 kilometres away from Dabo.

Make your way 40 kilometres east to Meineau Stadium to see an exciting live game of soccer. Located in Strasbourg, this venue is the home of the Racing Club de Strasbourg, so slip into some blue and white and cheer your heart out!

Feel the icy wind tussle your hair as you ski your way down the slopes at Schnepfenried Ski Resort. If you haven't yet had your fill, you should also check out the trails at Le Markstein Ski Resort.

Reinhardsmunster, 7 kilometres to the northeast, is popular for Chateau du Freudeneck and the Musee Rohan. Why not find your way there and stop by these outstanding sights? Alternatively, you could stop at Plaine-de-Walsch, 9 kilometres to the northwest of Dabo, for the Museum Sarrebourg and Freedom Park.

Spend a day at the La Folie Marco, the Domaine Stoeffler and the Domaine Ostertag. All of these sights are not far from the centre of Mittelbergheim, 30 kilometres away. If you're after more, the Le Musee du Pain d'Epices et de l'Art Populaire Alsacien and Pagan Wall should also feature on your travel plan.

Clothing? Check. ID? Check. But have you brought your appetite? With some delectable food and drink to gulp down in this destination, it's the one thing you really won't want to forget.
