The hotel sits beside a beautiful lake, which makes for a relaxing setting. The property felt quiet during our weekend stay, with little activity in the lobby, restaurant, or bar.
We were assigned to a handicap-accessible room, which came with a larger shower but no countertop and very poor lighting. The biggest disappointment was the view—our window overlooked a service area instead of the lake, even though the hotel was clearly not full.
Dinner at the bar was decent; the brisket tacos had good flavor but were a bit fatty. The highlight of our stay was Troy, the bartender, who always delivers outstanding service and cocktails. His Colorado Bulldogs were the best we’ve had.
Overall, the location and bar service were excellent, but the room assignment and overall experience left room for improvement.
