Everything was great until a piece of expens clothing was stolen by their staff after I accidentally left it in my room. I am taken aback that they stole from their customer!

So-so Stay with room for improvement.
Hotel had signs posted about the lack of room cleaning service available and if we needed new towels to go to front desk, that was communicated very clearly and we appreciated the honesty. For the room, it smelt like a wet dog and I stayed for 5 days/ 4 nights. The first 3 days i woke myself up to constant sneezing and stuffy breathing. The A/C - Heater did not work very well and upon inspection the unit was HEAVILY dusted and seemed to be working on a short lifespan. Unit turned on maybe once a day, did not have a fan in the room so the small amount of airflow it did provide just made the room that much more stuffy and harder to breathe. The shower handles were set to opposite directions, hot was blue and cold was red, not a major infraction but slightly confusing. Water was hot and or cold when we needed it to be but the shower head had a hard water feel to it. Personal preference, the water was consistent and reliable. Toilet flushed very very well, almost too well because it sounded like we woke up the neighbors every time we flushed. Personal preference again, it worked and functioned properly. Back door to the hotel was left unlocked the entire stay but there was only a few cars in the lot at all times so that was not a major issue but a safety concern for sure. Mattress was definitely older and we could feel ourselves in a sunken-in divot in the mattress and there was springs you could feel moving around trying to find any comfortability.

Incredible Staff like no other!
This la Quinta is one of my favorites. The staff is some of the friendliest people that I've ever met. They are all extremely knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile for the guest. Danielle is particularly caring in that she truly go see extra mile for every single guest, this is what sets this property aside from the rest! Also why I will stay no other place while I'm in the Lakewood area!

The room was awkwardly arranged with two doors on the bathroom that looked like closet doors. No fan in the bathroom. Drapes were very old and carpet too. Not the cleanest. Breakfast meh!
