The rooms were a bit dirty. It did not look like the shower had been cleaned, and the shower handle came off if moved slightly wrong. Overall, it was a decent and affordable place to stay.

Clean room but not great tub.
Comfortable bed, clean room, but I was very irritated that the tub took almost two hours to remotely fill… and then the jacuzzi jets didn’t even work. I would’ve just got a regular room if I had known that.

Property is not as advertised. Bathroom door won’t open with out hitting toilet. Strong chlorine smell. Jacuzzi tub didn’t work when selected room just for that feature. No elevator

It ticked all the boxes. It’s obviously an older building, but it was clean, beds were comfortable, room had a mini fridge and microwave. Air conditioner took a while to get the room cooled off. Nothing spectacular but no complaints either.

Overall, it was OK. The other hotel we usually stay at was full. This is an older worn hotel that has a fresh coat of paint and new furnishings in the rooms. On the surface it looks good, but if you look close, you can tell it still needs some work. For example, doors, trim and woodworking are worn. I would stay here again, but it would not be my first choice.

My stay at this hotel was less than satisfactory. The bathroom was in dire need of a deep cleaning, with visible grime and mold in several places. The rug around the bed appeared stained and smelled of urine. The entire hotel smelled of mildew. Additionally, the remodel appeared hastily done and poorly executed, leaving much to be desired in terms of aesthetics and functionality. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to others until significant improvements are made to address these issues.

We were in town for a concert. I read that it was recently updated. That is true, but the workmanship is sub-par. I was afraid to use the outlet by the sink because of the stucco all over it. The baseboard wasn't finished behind the toilet & there was visible water damage/mold on a wall next to an ice machine. We saw online that the Ankeny Dinner was open until 8pm, however when we arrived at 10:10am for breakfast, they were closing. They have put work into this hotel, but when you are paying for a Wyndham Hotel, you expect that level. It's just not at that level.
