If you've got plenty of time, why not head to some close-by destinations? Mandarmani and Gopalpur are 20 kilometres and 35 kilometres away, respectively.

Roughly 90 kilometres to the north, Midnapore is a destination chock-full with things to do. Dwadash Dwari Fort, the Jhareswar Temple and Parimalkanan Park are all nearby. That said, the Dharmaraj Temple and the Kali Temple may be more your style.

It's hard to think of a better way to wander through the local landscapes than on a captivating adventure. Sign yourself up for some mountain climbing or hiking and get your blood pumping!

If you're catching a plane home, it's a good idea to decide a route to the terminal in advance. From the centre of Digha, you'll need to go around 150 kilometres northeast to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport (CCU), the nearest airport.
