Front desk assistance was as good as could be. But there were no maps of Doha or any tourist information available, no material at all in the room about hotel services or the functioning of TV etc, no English language newspapers in the foyer or breakfast room unless specifically requested, room crockery and cutlery was not always cleaned properly by daily room staff, used tea/coffee bags not always replaced each day, lighting in the bathroom was poor, the toilet did not flush properly (seemed to be a water pressure problem), the shower recess leaked badly onto the bathroom floor once exiting the recess after use due to a design fault in the system, the room safe was broken and had to be replaced, ditto the iron electric plug, and the only full length mirror was positioned behind a couch and thus not accessible. Sauna did not work, jacussi water temperature was too low. Overall impression was poor management.
