Lovely hotel. Unfortunately work started right outside our window and a lot of hammering and noise from 7am. No warning from the hotel that this was expected. A very early wake up call on a night away.

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
We stayed at the Trinity City for 2 nights and overall it was a pleasant stay. Just a couple of criticisms mainly about the restaurant. We had dinner on our second night and unfortunately the food was served on cold plates which meant that the vegetables were cold. I tried to point this out to one of the waiting staff but unfortunately she speak speak sufficient English and didn’t understand. This was the only criticism and apart from that a very nice hotel.
A fine hotel, easy to get to from the airport via the express bus, and close to lots of cool things in the Dublin City center. Couldn’t be closer to Trinity College, and if you like walking around a city this is a great home base.
This hotel is beautiful and is located in a very convenient and walkable area of Dublin. Good proximity to hop on/off and other transportation options as well as the city center. Bar and food service was good.
A little disappointing to find out upon check in that one of our two rooms was downgraded to two single beds with a very low sink (handicapped?). The hotel could only offer complimentary breakfast to compensate us because we had booked through Expedia. This being an expensive hotel, we believe we were due some price reduction because we didn't get what we paid for. Because of this glitch, we will consider booking directly with hotels in the future which should give them more flexibility in these situations.
To end on a positive note, we were surprised to discover our booking happened to be during the recent USA college football game. The hotel was involved in this and super busy. The hotel staff handled a difficult, chaotic weekend with professionalism and grace.
I found most staff to be friendly and helpful. Room service didn’t bother me unless I needed something. The breakfast was very good every day and there were a variety of options. Easy to walk to Temple Bar and Shopping District. Very close to Tara St Train station to go to Howth and Malahide.
I loved the location. The area is very walkable. Transportation was easy.
One thing I would criticize, upon check in, the staff didn’t explain to use your room key card to operate the elevator as well as the room lights and TV. It’s a minor detail but helpful for those of us coming from North America. The staff also could have explained the breakfast options and how to book the option. Other than that our stay was wonderful!! Friendly helpful staff. I felt safe. Everything was clean!!
Trinity worked great for our short two day stay in Dublin allowing us to walk to every sight we wanted to see. The staff were very friendly to us and our two pre-teenage children. We felt it was a great value.
2 day stay on way back to airport- centrally located 5-10 min walk from everything including temple bar that’s the best thing about it. Valet took the car and we walked the city for 2 days.
