This is a nice hotel despite its being rather outdated. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, which overcomes other sins, and it was remarkably clean. The room I had was fine, but the bed was terrible - so hard, with a thin mattress on wooden slats in lieu of a box spring that made it very difficult to get comfortable, let alone to sleep. But the location is tremendous for getting around - so many subway stations on 23rd Street!

Hotel was very conveniently located. I felt safe in the hotel because there was always someone at the front desk. Our room was older but completely clean and spotless. Housekeeping did an excellent job everyday. The only thing that could improve the room is if there were two queen beds instead of two double beds. The owners had also decorated for fall and it was beautiful inside the hotel lobby

The location was great, the hotel has a nice lounge area. However, our shower wouldn’t drain, elevators didn’t always work properly, and the housekeeper was rude when I was still in the room after 12pm because I wasn’t feeling well. We had the do not disturb sign up and she still kept knocking and was rude acting like we were inconveniencing her. My fiancé was running to another store to get me some medicine. But yeah, it’s a cool building, the lobby staff was nice, the bar next door Jake’s saloon is awesome. But I don’t think we would stay there again.

Great place to stay, convenient, subway transportation close by. Rooms were amazingly quiet, very comfortable and ours was surprisingly spacious. Lots of shopping, food and drink establishments nearby. Highly recommend!

Okay hotel, definitely needs updated. Cleaning staff does a good job cleaning but everything is old and dinghy so they can only do so much. Not terrible but I don't now that it's worth what they charge.
