Holidays in Eidar

Eidar is a destination that has plenty of cool stories to tell. If you think your life's been a bit vanilla lately, a trip here is the perfect answer!

It sits 380 kilometres east of Reykjavik - Southern Iceland, the national capital of Iceland.

Go beyond Eidar and you'll be treated to some lovely natural sights. Just 40 kilometres away, Hengifoss is a popular place to get a little fresh air. Another sugggestion is Lagarfljót, 12 kilometres away from Eidar.

You'll discover even more just around the corner. Egilsstadir, 12 kilometres to the south, is known for the East Iceland Heritage Museum and the Minjasafn Austurlands. Alternatively, if Seydisfjordur Harbour and Blaa Kirkjan sound better to you, head 20 kilometres southeast from Eidar to Seydisfjordur.
