ok - no pools

I viewed the Hotels.com pictures of the pools and mistakenly thought there were pools at this hotel because there are pictures of pools. To be clear, this property does not have any pools on their property. All the pictures on Hotels.com are of a neighboring property that you can go to and enter if you purchase access during limited hours. The area is a nice area with multiple restaurants that you can visit and they're all really nice. The town is a small town and most things close down pretty early (including the recreation facility that is pictured in on the website with the pools). We booked this hotel because we thought it had pools and a breakfast included. There was a limited breakfast, but it was offered at a time we could not attend and there actually are no pools on property...so we didn't have the breakfast either. They also don't have air conditioning (which is fine and common), but the beds only had heavy blankets. It was very hot when we visited, so we opened the balcony door to let in some air, but there was no screen either. I spent the night alternating between going under thick blankets in the heat, or going out of the blankets to expose myself to the bugs coming through the door. It's probably fine most nights...

To be close to the pools

Right by the thermal baths, with a decent breakfast, I wouldn't say charming but does the job.

A good stopover to relax

This hotel is near a thermal pool area We relaxed in one of the indoor pools for 1.5 hours and cost E10 and enjoyed the experience The restaurant has delicious food and adequate continental breakfasts The village of Kelheim is a great place to visit and take a river cruise to the Kloster and it's ancient brewery

Hotel Centurio - disappointing to day the least!

When we arrived, just before the reception closed at 8pm, we were excited about our stay. We were promised a relaxing stay with a pool.....there is a pool but it's in another building and there is a steep surcharge of €10 per adult for 2.5 hours. This includes showering time. We were not aware if this on arrival. Hotels.com were very helpful rectifying this problem for us. The reception desk had no English, that's fine, my husband has some German from his school days. However, it was the lack of available information from reception that was frustrating. She had no idea about anything in the surrounding areas including the beautiful Weltenburg Abbey which was close by. She gave us a leaflet on a beer factory and kids amusement park?? We googled the info for her and then a vague recollection seemed to appear. Totally useless. We used this hotel as a base to explore the Danube, we did a short ferry ride on it with our 2 girls and then we saw the Abbey. We visited Nurembourg, ingoldstat, Eichstadt. We also went canoeing nearby. Breakfast was ok. The food selection was mediocre at best. There were far too many flies on all of the food. The waitress here was gruff and very rude to us. She tutted and ridiculed us for not speaking German...then she proceeded to laugh at us and tell other customers that we have no German. She was not accommodating and didn't try to explain anything to us, quite ignorant considering we have 2 children with us. It felt awkward and uncomfortable having to eat there every morning. The rooms were dated and quite 70s sparsely decorated. There is no air conditioning and as our bed was upstairs this was incredibly uncomfortable for 3 nights. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone. Customer service at this hotel is not important to the staff.

i chose this hotel due to the proximity to the test track near by,i was there for a couple of days, the breakfast was mediocre and too many flies everywhere. the internet connection is horrible, there was no 3G reception for my netstick and the hotel internet is limited for a 100 mb per hour so i could not perform the telco i was scheduled to do.

We started our stay very poorly

The hotel was okay, but some of the staff were really bad. We started our stay very poorly, with a very grumpy and unfriendly reception at 5:30 PM. We practically had the keys thrown at us and couldn't get directions to our room, nor was there any guidance about the hotel's facilities, etc. We had been looking forward to a swim, but we never managed to find the pool due to a lack of guidance. The same grumpy person was at breakfast, where we were again greeted by the same scowling person. We could see that German guests were treated well; it seemed a bit like she didn't like us because we were from abroad. On the positive side, the receptionist who checked us out was friendly and accommodating. But it was a little late, and we didn't get much out of our stay.

Das ist jedoch NICHT der Fall. Gegenüber des Hotels befindet sich eine Therme (Limes-Therme) und in 400m Entfernung befindet sich eine Golfanlage. Die Einrichtungen gehören nicht zum Hotel und sind nicht im Preis inbegriffen. Der Thermeneintritt liegt bei 23 EUR je Person und man erhält eine halbe Stunde Badeverlängerung als Hotelgast.
