Very short stay over at Manchester airport as we had a very early flight . Lovely room and bathroom . Didn’t have a meal or time for breakfast . Only minor negative was the fridge in the room was lit but not cold and no way or turning the temp down

I liked the closeness to MAN. See above rating. In the room, I am a bath person, not a shower person. At age 79, it is very annoying that the soaps are all at standing height. It is the new system in most hotels. Even a parent bathing a child must find it annoying. Just give me little bottles like you used to. Paying for an airport shuttle was annoying. But on top of prepaying and arranging a pick up time, apparently the shuttle sent me an email asking me to confirm I was ready. As a Canadian, I did not have a local phone and email until I checked into the hotel. After waiting for the shuttle for half an hour, another passenger with a phone turned up. You need a different system! But hotel was very good.

The staff were supportive, kind and friendly, what you would expect and hope for when you are away from home. I have stayed in most places where they don’t tidy up your room until you are checking out, however, my room was cleaned daily and most lovely part was my bed was made daily too which was lovely to come too after a hard day.
