This B&B is on the second floor of a building about ten minutes' walk from the train station. There is a tiny elevator, which is helpful when you are carrying bags. The building is on the corner of two main roads, so expect a little noise. The room was small but comfortable and very well furnished. We had our own bathroom en suite, which felt like a great luxury after 10 days of sharing. Some amenities: a mini-bar, safe, and hair dryer. Breakfast, available from 8 to 10, was a typical Tuscan menu of ham, cheese, bread, pastries, fruit, and coffee or tea. The hosts offer cappuccino or espresso as well.
Negatives:
- The road noise, mentioned above. Bring earplugs.
- We found the room stuffy. There probably was some ventilation, but we could not figure it out and were staying only one night so didn't get a chance to ask. Definitely something to ask about if your visit is in the summer.
- One of the people manning the desk was fluent in English, but the other, who was there for most of our stay, had little English. He was friendly and tried to be helpful, but asking anything complex was difficult with our extremely limited Italian.
Aside from these small drawbacks (maybe more about us than them?), this was a very nice place to stay and quite reasonably priced.
