This place is horrible. The bed have one kind of smell. It is noisy during the night. The only thing that is good which the location. Hope this is useful. There is other places far way better than this, do think twice.
This place is basically a dump, but in a great location. Again, this is not a hotel or even a hostel.
1. No one there to great us
2. Manager shook us down for 8 euro “bed tax” even though hostels are not required to pay it. You know that went right in his pocket.
3. Room was not cleaned 2nd day
No facilities at all available at the place. The bathroom window was broken so I can imagine how winter will be. The window of the room was facing the back of the hostel where all the bins are left so the smell was horrible so we could not open the window. The noises were horrible from outside and also from the other guests so we could not sleep at all. The walls are literally like paper. The bathroom, as a public place should be clean but it never was during our stay. Definitely not recommended. Although the area was very central, you can pay a bit more for other hotels around the same area which are in much better conditions.
Great location but the terrible accommodation for price I paid. I stayed in one room with old mismatch broken furniture, window with dirty curtains. I had to is restroom in the unit on upper level, it was dirty as well. Host was not welcoming or helpful at all. He met us once at the check in. Place did not have clear label outside of the building, it took us few minutes to figure out where the entry door to this hostel. I was very disappointed with this place.
Room was big and spacious. Shared bathroom between the rooms worked out fine. On the 4th floor but there was a small elevator which was good for transporting our luggage. Wifi worked well. Didn't see the staff again after check-in. Would have been difficult to find but we had read previous reviews to look for the number on the street and then press the buzzer to be let in. Great location. Overall satisfactory stay.
Yes it is a Hostel, but that should not be a reason to keep the place as a owner completely forgotten... ceilings, walls and floors need to be renovated. The paint is falling off same with the bathroom. The apartment is located on the 4th floor in a building where there are other tenants. I will not stay again and will not recommend it to anyone. The only good thing about this place is that is right on the center, but I’m sure that I can get a better place than this one.

First thing I should mention is that this is not a hostel with shared rooms. We got our own room, we just had a shared bathroom. There wasn't much in the way of amenities, basically just wifi which we couldn't get in our room we had to go to the common room to get it. There was a fridge and freezer in the common room as well. Two good things were that our room had a balcony an unexpected and nice treat. Although not all rooms have this. The location was excellent. One more thing I should mention is that they turn the elevator off at night and sometimes during the day. The day time thing seemed random to me. If you are looking for a good price and a place to rest your head, this is a good choice.
Only plus to this place is that located in heart of city. Shared Bathroom door have no proper lock. No proper Wi-Fi connection. Does not have AC. Lift not accessible all times. No fan in the room. Small table fan provided upon request, which saved out life for that day. Not at all recommended to stay even a day at this place.
It’s really rare that I review an accomodation on but unfortunately I think that is important to set a minimum standard to make other customers aware what they are going to face choosing this hostel. Let’s start from the hotel reservation. We booked through the website a triple bed room. I know i was going to be in an hostel but at least i was sure it was bigger then a standard double room... Well! It was not like that! the receptionist told us that the rooms that the hostel was going to give depends on number of people and NOT about the reservation on the website. Is like when you book a Suite for your own but because you are just one guest they give you the worst room they have to fill the others rooms up! well it doesn’t work like that, after that I explained that i work as receptionist too he said that he “ always done the work like that“ well you should update your knowledge as well as the hostel room... but let’s go now to the room... Dirty, old fashioned 1 shared bathroom for 4 rooms that contain in total more than 10 people! is unacceptable! the bathroom always dirty with piece of roof falling ... The worst stay ever! wifi? well if you are not close enough to the reception don’t even try because you will not be able to connect easily... one PRO is in the city center close to the main attraction... That’s it!
Great Location!!
Bathroom could use a new door and the shower drain cleaned out.

Great location for a Budget stay in basic room.
Room very basic but cheaper than most in Florence. Easy enough check in. The area is very central and very easy to find ( if you do your research ). There is a small buzzer button for the hostel. It is opposite the covered market square and the street number 6 is clearly visible. here you will find the buzzer.
The toilet/shower had a very loose latch on it and doesn't close properly but the shower was ok, enough power and hot water. But, no towels were given!! Wifi didn't work
Loads of shops, bars and restaurants nearby.

it is central
it is central that is its main claim to fame. It is also clean which is important. I don't know why they call it a hostel ..it is just a room in the building. I met The staff on arrival and not again. You were able to open the window which was nice With a tiny balcony.
I thought it could have included a town.

Great location
Your money does not go far in Florence. This place on the 4th floor of a typical Florentine apartment block will tell you more about life in Firenze than a 4 star hotel. Clean rooms and a shared bathroom. All good.
The hostel is close to everything which is good. The website said they would supply towels for the shower. I was never given one and never saw the staff after check-in. Check-in time was 11am. I got there at 10:50 and they hadn't started cleaning the room yet so I couldn't go in.
We booked one night at this accommodation. The most difficult thing was finding the building and here is why after looking for 1.5h, we realized there is no visible sign of this building or hostel from that street but a tiny plaque next to the door entrance. Google map took us exactly to Via Porta Rossa (which is great). We did ask three people at different stores who were working on that same street.
In addition to this, after few blocks, the sequence jumps from 7 to 19 and on, so you may get a sense you are kinda lost.
I classify this accommodation as an apartment for rent, more than a hostel. It is inside a residential building and our room was on top floor so we went up stairs with luggage. There is no receptionist available and the host left after handling the key and explaining the usual things, so we were by our own mostly.
I immediately found another place to stay - shocking venue and the pictures in the web are totally different to the actual venue - I would like a 100 % refund
