This was our first visit to Victoria. We were so glad we picked Geelong to stay. Very impressed with waterfront precinct & dining options surrounding. We really loved our apartment at R hotel for our 4 night stay. Everything we could want. Totally relaxing & would have loved to stay longer. Staff were very pleasant & helpful. Housekeeping was in & out without any disruption. Would totally recommend RHotel to others & should we visit again will definitely book this hotel.

Overall great location, near the water and close to cafes and restaurants. The noise from the street was at times a little loud but ok. My main complaint is the limited coffee pods (only 2) and towels, the bathroom grout needs a good clean.

Huge apartment for family.
Great apartment for family stay. Nice view of the bay. Rooms were quiet. Spacious & kitchenette handy to make breakfast. Full size fridge. Walking distance to 'That's So Melbourne' street food van.

Obstructive views and needed cleaning
Rooms with a bay view, on the 4th floor, are stretching the description. Yes, you can see the bay - but you mainly see the hotel next door. Higher up, the view is great. Our room is already starting to show some wear and tear (hotel is less then 5 years old?) with marks all over the wall and facilities that needed cleaning. It also didn't help that somebody in the room next door thought smoking weed on the balcony each morning and night was acceptable! Hotel is still a good location, front desk staff are great, but better descriptions (obstructive views for example) and cleanliness would have improved our stay.

The view from my room was wonderful and the floor to ceiling windows and balcony were awesome! I thought I was only getting a park view but I could see the sea as well so it was a bonus! Loved all the appliances and facilities in the apartment.
