Beautiful spot and housing and excellent caretaker. The only drawback was the outdoor cats here, and at the beaches because my wife has some health issues where she has to limit her exposure to the parasites that outdoor cats carry.
Great host, magical location . In the heart of the main town but secluded on its own peninsular.

The room was just ok...but that's not what you're in the Exumas for :-) The location is great, within walking distance to groceries, and the water taxi to Stocking Island. Nancy was incredibly helpful, arranged taxis for us etc., anything we needed. Sugar Adventures picked us up right at Regatta Point, which was fabulous. The Exumas are absolutely gorgeous...you haven't really seen the Bahamas in all their splendor unless you get away from Nassau to the outer islands.
Located right next to GeorgeTown with easy access to Stocking Island and the rest of the Exumas. We stayed a couple of nights over the Music and Heritage festival which was great to get our bearings and experience local bahamial life for the first time. Apartment was well appointed with everything you might need, cutely accessed by bridge from the main port. No A/C but not needed. Good beds and bedding. Perfect starting point to our holiday.

The property has potential but needs updated and better maintained. It really needed a good cleaning from top to bottom! Not my worst stay but not worth the money!

I was told on the day of arrival that no room is available while I have my booking confirmation in hand. And then I was asked to book the only available hotel at the last minute with an additional $420 charge. Both Regatta Point and Expedia were refused to cover the additional cost so far.
Beautiful location with a warm greeting from Nancy. I was initially worried about having no air with my teenage kids. The place was comfortable and we were able to make meals after boating each day in which the boat rental is a short walk with having the ability to pull the boat up was nice as well..
Isolated spot with no wifi, making it hard to coordinate particularly as there is no reception to get help. Otherwise comfortable rooms. Not suitable for swimming really as appears advertised near beach.

They overbook the villas!
When we arrived they told us our villa was no longer available. We made a reservation 2 minths in advance, which had not been canceled through hotels.com. They simply overbook and do not care what happens to those who they turn away. Like most people, we travelled a long way to get to Exuma. Hotels.com gave us some cash credit but that was a small consolation - there was nothing else available to rent so we had to fly home. Buyer beware!!!

book at your own risk
Regatta Point did not honor our hotels.com reservation booked three weeks prior to our arrival. The owner said they were fully booked and refused to even look at our confirmation e-mail documenting our reservation.
Awesome location, right in downtown George Town. Close to the ferry and local restaurants/shops. Nancy and Jeanine were very friendly and pleasant to chat with. Thank you for having us.
We loved our three night stay here. It is right on the water, the view was stunning. It is in easy walking distance to everything in Georgetown (Peace and Plenty, groceries, water taxi to Stocking Island). We loved having a kitchen and the beds were very comfortable. Everyone was very helpful and accommodating. We can't wait to go back.
We stayed here for a week and it was very comfortable and quaint but it's bare essentials so don't expect luxury. We were okay to walk to a beach (45 min) but you should rent a car if you want access to nicer beaches. It's close to a supermarket and liquor store.
Booked the hotel last minute and what in for a nice surprise. What an incredible place! Huge room and very nicely decorated. The owner went out of her way to accommodate us. Very helpful staff. Will definitely come back again. Ohh, did I mention the location, location, location?
Regatta Point is amazing. The property is beautiful. Nancy, the owner is a treasure. She updated our room, just because the bigger one was available. How thoughtful! She made us feel at home and we will always think of her as family. We love this location and had a great time watching the Super Bowl with locals. We had a fantastic time and will definitely go back.
Nancy was the kindest and most accommodating host. Her cats REALLY made the stay feel a - one evening during a fierce rain storm - one of the cats came into our room to stay and snuggled up with us on the bed - it truly felt like home as we were missing our fur-kids terribly. The room was spacious and very comfortable and included a kitchenette. The area was VERY peaceful and beautiful. Rough road coming in but that just added to it's charm. We wished we could have stayed longer! PERFECT!
Nancy is a fabulous host and was so helpful with helping us arrange all of our activities throughout the week. The location has amazing views, the rooms are spacious with a full kitchen, front and back decks to sit/layout, and is very quiet at night.
Cannot say enough positive things about the host, the place, or the location. Helpful, went above and beyond. Will be staying here again on our next trip

Hotel host was so nice and frendly and we had great stay at Regatta.
location is perfect. it is very close to george town, supermarket and port.
only bad things was No wifi and no air condition..
it was too hot and too many mosquitos.
I couldn't sleep well during i stay in Regatta point.
But we would like to stay again.
It is wonderful island for honeymoon.
We were quite pleased with the accommodations. The only issue would be no wifi, tv or radio. Great to unplug, but would have been nice to check in at home, especially since we were there over Mothers Day. Also, might have been nice to check a weather report. Other than that, Nancy was very accommodating and made us feel like family. One other note. She does not accept credit cards for payment.

It was a fantastic location and well worth a visit. The place is rustic but adsolutely fasanatingThe owner Nancy is so nice.I could listen to her all day she is one of the most interesting persons I have met in my life. The only downside was we were charged more than we were informed what the price would be from hotels.com and it was bed only so there were no extras we could be charged for!!!!! Not sure where the quoted price comes from but will certainly be questioning if we use hotels.com again.
Regatta Point is an amazing little spot on the edge of George Town, right by the Harbour. It’s peaceful and secluded yet only a 5-10 minute walk into the centre of George Town. Nancy is a great host having a wealth of knowledge. The apartment we stayed in was well equipped and had a fantastic view of the sea. If you require wifi and tv this may not be the place for you as there isn’t any – perfect for us. It was lovely to sit on the deck or even in the apartment and watch the boats going by or to do a bit of turtle spotting. Make sure you take a good book and perhaps a few games. We would definitely recommend the 4 cays trip. Its expensive and a long day, especially with young children, but it’s a fantastic trip and for all of us our favourite activity during our holiday to Florida and the Bahamas. You may want to budget for car or boat hire to see some other beaches or for water taxis ($12pp return) over to Stocking island. The beaches on Stocking Island are beautiful and there is a bar called the Chat and Chill which also serves food. Wild sting rays will swim in for the scraps from the Conch Salad bar, which you can feed them! Nancy recommended the Peace and Plenty hotel in George Town on Thursday nights for a Bahamian BBQ. Delicious food, good value for money, a lovely setting and a local band playing. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Exuma with a very relaxing stay at the wonderful Regatta Point.
