Book Gihombo hotels

My experience was slightly affected by the fact that I stayed in low season, and at a time when there was political instability along the border with DRC nearby. Hence I was the only guest for most of my time at the hotel which generated a slightly odd feeling. However, the suite I was allocated to was absolutely beautiful, incredibly spacious and spotlessly clean. The view into the rainforest from the private patio at the rear of the suite was fantastic and perfect for relaxation. The quality of the food in the hotel restaurant was of the highest class, and although the waiting staff were possibly slightly over-attentive (because I was the only diner most of the time) they were really friendly & professional. Reception staff gave me great advice regarding how to arrange activities in the park, inc contact details for the park guides. I had a great couple of days at the hotel and would thoroughly recommend it.

The staff at this property were extremely nice and friendly. The journey from Kigali however was stressful. I recommend renting a jeep or a car with high tires as the roads leading to the accommodation are bad.

It was ot good! No elevator we counted 90 steps Furniture where broken and there where big cocroaches in the room!

Waking up to the views of Lake Kivu were amazing the food and the staff were fantastic! Margret and her team were very friendly, attentive and catered to our needs. The rooms are exactly as shown in the pictures.online. Can’t wait to go back- Would highly recommend .

It was such amazing stay. We will come back very soon and as often as we will be able to do it. Thank you Patrick, Nshuti, Angelic, the Chef and all the staff in general. We need to buy now a 4 x 4 car especially for our upcoming stays at Palega Beach Inn !!

The staff are wonderful, both kind and efficient. The reception were helpful and made one feel so welcome on arrival. Getting there at night can be tricky as google maps is wrong while there are few signposts showing the way. The setting is fantastic and what a tranquil and relaxing place! Great place to see Nyungwe forest from.
