Christmas overnight with family . Christmas meal was a bit chaotic and was okay . Swimming pool and Spa lovely Amy gave me a lovely hot stone massage . Disappointed no food in evening . Praise to Sophie for getting a meal for grandson

The pool, gym and spa areas are ok... if the changing room rather dated... very dated. The rest of the hotel predates... everything... very, very tired hotel, just about keeping it together. Food was average at best and breakfast has some strange arrangements with most edible things charged additionally, no coffee machine and a possible cappuccino in about 15 mins for ÂŁ4 does not sound the best start to the day. There's no drama, no enjoyment either, but the 10/10 reviews I had read before do not sound genuine.

The most outstanding element to my stay was helpfulness of the staff, Naeve, Sam, young man who helped me with luggage. Naeve was exceptional in accommodating two late check-out requests, co- ordinating billing, arranging baggage storage and baggage transport and generally checking up on how my trip was going. Sam was just lovely, she works in the restaurant and went out of her way to help all the guests with a friendly smile. The hotel needs some upgrades but I left feeling refreshed and relaxed. Would highly recommend based on these and other factors.

Good stay. Staff excellent. Basin in bathroom was cracked in two places really badly which we reported. Breakfast lovely. We had a small dog but could not find any dog bins on site

Stayed 1 night with my 2 granddaughters Staff very friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast was lovely. The room was spotless. Only complaint was It was meant to be a family room for 3. I expected a Queen sized bad or a double with a sofabed, not a standard double bed. Should not have been advertised as a family room

Lovely stay
Lovely dog friendly hotel. Reception staff at check in was extremely curt verging on rudeness. When asking if pool was still open said wouldn’t think so as it was their weekend this was at 5.30pm!! Sent us to spa to ask ourselves not what you would expect of a hotel of this standard! Fortunately the rest of the staff were so helpful and their service was great. Rooms were comfortable and clean and pool facilities were great.

Crutherland house hotel
Bedding in room was dirty. Floor in room not cleaned. Bathroom had mould around bath. Top of wardrobe full of dust. Asked managed to change bed matress protecter and all he would say. We dont have any housekeepers as al gone home.

Suprising location peaceful and calm . A bit outside the main hub but i liked that . Restaurant staff friendly and helpful. Overall good value for money better than the so called budget alternatives. Definitely worth a weekend especially using my points. 👍

I booked 2 rooms 1 of which hadn’t even been cleaned towels on the bathroom floor bed not made diner plates on the side the other where the bed hadn’t been made properly with the mattress protector bunched up in the middle bit lumpy on the first night until I investigated and made the bed properly then the door key looked me out little bit annoying. The staff were outstanding though and such a lovely house they just need new maids that do the job with a bit of pride.

The hotel is set a beautiful location with nice public spaces. Reception staff were really helpful and friendly but probably need more staff available. The room was spacious but dusty and windows didn't close properly. Staff attended to these issues promptly but windows need a permanent solution. Breakfast was great and there's a fantastic swimming pool on site.

Arrived at 3pm, there were no staff manning reception. We were waiting 10 minutes which was not a good start. Thought we would go into the bar for a drink instead of waiting and there were no staff behind the bar either (315pm)! The room we stayed in was tired, nevertheless, it was clean and comfortable. The pool area/sauna/steam room was decent.

Bed and room very comfortable, parkland location is lovely. Food and wine nice too. That's it for positives sadly. Hotel is very tired, needs a most areas updating and modernising. Staff a mix of very new and experienced but either not enough or badly organised. Long waits at the bar even though only 10 people in the bar. 10 minute wait to get salt brought to go with the fish and chips. 3 fire alarms in the night, no explanation or apology. When this was raised on check out a half hearted apology was offered but not with any eye contact or sincerity.
