Compare Cheap Hotels in Great Barrier Island

We loved our stay @ Mystic! Stars were incredible, could hear waves crashing at Medlands. Tucked away in the bush with bird song to wake us. Heaven!Wish I’d bought my guitar!

Great views across the water and very secluded. It wasn’t quite how the pictures show and needs a little work to get back to the standard of the original photos and some parts need a bit of a clean. I understand it is high in the trees so there will have been insects about and that’s all fine, but the windows hadn’t been cleaned on the outside for a while, the driveway needs some weeding/ferns nurtured so it is easier to park/get out. Also, some areas inside need cleaning (corners on the floor, shelves in the cabinet etc). Perhaps, the chairs replaced so they are similar to the ones in the picture. For the price charged I think there needs to be some changes to make it more beautiful and worth the money, compared to other places on the island. Some of the communication is conflicting and needs updating regarding check-in times, parking place.

Great Barrier Island is amazing. Lazy Fish is a magical location. Comfy beds, well appointed kitchen. Walking distance to a wonderful pub and restaurant. Local store has all you need, and the cove is a stunning tableau. Great place for a getaway, but good entertainment too

Layed back settlenent with super friendly people. We could walk down to the veach rock pools and pub. Have beautiful views of the bay. Definitely need a vehicle but everywhere seems like PARADISE

We were really lucky with the weather and the stars, but in any weather the view, the location and the property itself are fantastic. Definitely need a rugged vehicle to get up the steep driveway.

The view was outstanding. Basic. No on site contact person.
