Hyatt has a great name, but the experience at this property didn't quite live up to it. The area behind the check-in counter was cluttered, including plastic casings from big packages of water bottles that were turned on their sides and half opened. Check-in staff offered water bottles to some guests who checked in and not others. This could be because of status, but come on, it's water! I had to buy a bottle of water after folks in front of me got theirs for free.
I arrived at my room after 8 pm because of late meetings. The restaurant was still serving, so I ordered a grilled cheese from my room. It had spinach and tomato on it. I also ordered a small salad. The person who took the order said I'd have it in about 10 minutes. Great! The order arrived more than 30 minutes later - the grilled cheese and salad in foam cartons. The sandwich was steaming hot when I opened the box - when it cooled enough for me to eat, the bread was chewy, like the sandwich had been cooked and maybe later microwaved? The spinach was slimy, and the tomato was soggy. Unedible. So, I popped open the salad. It looked lovely, but there was no salad dressing. Barley edible.
