Beautiful Private Home Right There at Sharks Cove.

In compliance with City and County Of Honolulu Ordinance Section 19-18 and Ordinance 22-7 (Bill 41) our house is available to rent for a period of 30 days or more. Please message the owner to find out about shorter stays with priority given to longer stays. By law, the property cannot have other tenants during the 30-day term covered by this Agreement, but of course you may leave before the full 30 day rental period.

Our home has the BEST LOCATION on the North Shore with dramatic ocean views. We recommend you contact us with an inquiry to check availability and see how we can make accommodations for your travel dates.

Experience a taste of 'Old Hawaii' flanked by the legendary shores of Waimea Bay, Banzai Pipeline, and Sunset Beach. This small section of coast with rock, sand, and coral outcrops, is so spectacular it has been protected by the State of Hawaii as a Marine Life Conservation Area. A bonus is gourmet food truck court within easy walking distance.

THE HOUSE has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and an elevated porch with sweeping ocean and sunset views. You will immediately relax in an open airy floorplan. Enjoy the stereo, and cable-equipped big screen TV with DVD. The fully appointed kitchen has granite countertops and facing barstools so you can talk with family and friends as you open a bottle of wine, prepare gourmet meals, or simply throw burgers on the BBQ. The master suite has a king size bed; second bedroom has a queen; and the third has two single beds.

CENTRALLY LOCATED. If you've been to the North Shore before, you'll know why return visitors want to stay in this neighborhood. Snorkeling at Shark's Cove is a 3 minute walk. Breathtaking Ke Iki beach is a 4 minute walk. We are at the south end of a 3 mile bike path which takes you past Pipeline (1 mi.), and Sunset Beach (2 mi.) In the morning, walk 2 blocks along the bike path to the Coffee Bean, or stop at the adjacent Foodland Supermarket.

Drive south for 10 minutes and you find quaint and historic Haleiwa Town with its many restaurants, art galleries, and surf shops. Go north 10 minutes for world class golf at Turtle Bay Resort, or continue around the point to the windward side of the island and the Polynesian Cultural Center. As you explore this part of Oahu, you'll see why locals call the North Shore 'Country,' but driving time to Honolulu Airport is only 45 minutes, and Waikiki is 1 hour.

Great home!

Really enjoyed our stay. Great house within walking distance to some of the best snorkeling and beaches on the island. We cooked many nights. The kitchen was very nice and well stocked with everything you needed to cook. Grill was clean and ready to go. Would stay again!

No AC...but not a negative thing.

I was born and raised here on the North Shore so of course I'm going to praise the location. However, I overlooked the part where there was no AC on the property. It's like that for majority of houses on the island. So open windows and turn on the fans. Also, check the cabinets before you go to the store (Foodland). There is a collection of sunscreen in the guest bathroom closet. .

Not what we had hoped for

Let us start with kudos to Nick (owner) who got a carpet cleaner out the 2nd day of our stay. Upon arriving the source of the odor was easy to locate in the front bedroom. We checked the other b/rms and found hair in the sheets and the soiled twin comforters. We stripped the beds and began laundering the bedding. Used towels were left behind a door, so we washed towels, too. After notifying Nick, the woman who cleans for him arrived. We cannot convey how incredulous we were as she insisted, “Urine, no. I don’t smell anything”. It was late evening before we had clean beds and could settle in. We were gone most of each day, but upon returning in evening, the urine odor (amplified by the hot house with no a/c) met us at the front door. The carpet solution helped only temporarily & the odor returned as the carpet dried. But most troubling is the denial by the woman in Nick’s employ. In gaslighting us, she not only did a disservice to us, but also to Nick. Euphemistically speaking, it was not an enjoyable stay, so it’s difficult to extoll good aspects of the property. As we were loading the vehicle to leave, a different cleaner arrived. We told her that we had already stripped the beds, gathered all the towels and started a load for her. We also took her into the urine bedroom where she exclaimed “Ohhh” that’s bad! I can see the spot!” Apparently, she was not coached to deny the obvious. We've been using VRBO for a few years now, this was our only disappointing experience.

Perfect for us

The property layout, location, and supplies were perfect for our family needs. All six of us, ages 1 a 58, found the home to be big enough to have family meals together as well as quiet individual time on the deck or roof top. Loved it…!

The best VRBO ever!

This was by dar our best VRBO experience ever! Nick has created a tropical oasis. The second floor lanai was perfect to watch new years eve fireworks. We walked to Keiki beach and sharks cove. We had our own tidal pool to play in as well. I could not have asked for anything else. This experience is a 10 out of 10.

Perfect for families

The house is as perfect for my family. Our age ranges from 1 1/2 years to 54 and all of us were very comfortable. The house was very comfortable and you didn’t get the feeling that you were a guest at someone else’s home, felt like our home. Having Sharks Cove, Foodland, and food trucks within a :5 min walk is definitely a plus. My wife and I look forward to staying there again.

Just right!

Our family of six adults loved our stay near Shark’s Cove! The house is tasteful and well laid out, with all the necessary amenities and a great location - just a short walk to prime snorkeling sites and beaches, food carts, and a great grocery store. The bonus open-air rooftop area was a favorite evening gathering spot for dining,watching the sunset, and recounting the many wonderful memories of the day. An Extended Family Getaway

We had a wonderful relaxing time. We had a vacation for an extended family of five. Everything was exactly as the pictures shown. Being so close to Shark”s Cove was amazing. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was the perfect set up. Our first time staying on the North Shore and staying here was the perfect spot! We would definitely come back again and highly recommend this vacation house.

As other reviewers have noted, this is an exceptionally well-taken care of property - clean, comfortable, well appointed, lovely view, walkable to the Pupukea community. The owners have thought of everything. (If you are traveling with teenagers, the location couldn't be better, with access to fantastic snorkeling, and nearby surfing lessons, luau, basketball courts and food trucks.) We will certainly be back! Thank you!

Amazing stay, incredible location! Will definitely be returning. My family and I were able to walk to the grocery store, the majority of North Shore beaches, and all other essentials. Home is stocked with all you need to prepare meals or relax at home. Simple check in and check out, Nick was also easy to reach with any questions or concerns. Don’t think there’s any location that could top this one, highly recommend!

North Shore Gem!

We booked this property for the second part of our Oahu vacation and it was perfect! After 4 days in Waikiki, it was exactly what we needed to unwind and slow down. Nick was a great host with terrific communication and the property provided everything we needed to feel comfortable and at home for the week. We enjoyed coffee on the deck each morning, cocktails and amazing views from the upper patio, short walks to Sharks Cove several times for snorkeling, and our kids absolutely loved boogie boarding on Ke Iki Beach! Our favorite beaches were Ke Iki, Sunset, Waimea Bay and Papa'iloa. Toa Luau was a hit with the whole family and we really enjoyed walking around Haleiwa town and eating there on several occasions as well. Food trucks in Haleiwa and Kahuku were also plentiful and delicious! You can't beat the beaches and laid back vibes on the North Shore and we will definitely be back!

Great stay on the North Shore

House was in a great location. Short walk to store and beaches. Even with traffic, drive to Honolulu wasn't bad. 45 min or so. Nearby Haleiwa had great shopping. Surf was up a few days and got to see big waves at Sunset Beach. House had everything we needed. With 5 adults staying, I would suggest a few more bath towels and kitchen towels. We cooked many meals and had most everything we needed. Thanks it was a great time.

Views and comfort

Three generation family trip. Six adults over age 25. Really enjoyed the location. We were very fortunate to have calm waters for the first few days and snorkeled at sharks cove and viewed whales and turtles every day/night. The rooftop deck was great for hanging out at the end of the day. Comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen. Good outdoor space. Better than the pictures!

Great location and well appointed house

This house was perfect for our group of 6 - 2 adults, 2 seniors, and 2 kids. The beds were comfortable and we found all of our needs were met. The rooftop deck had great views. We loved being able to walk to the grocery store, Shark's Cove, and the beach.

Tropical getaway

Tucked away on the north shore this lovely home provides excellent views ace all the basics you could want for. Comfy beds and sturdy furniture were very welcoming. Lots of kitchen items, from plate ware to cookware. Very comfortable stay and Nick was so friendly from the initial contact to the checkout.
