If you're a proud carrier of the wanderlust gene (no duh, you're here right?), then you won't want to miss out on seeing more of the South Jeolla region. Hone your landscape photography game by visiting some of South Jeolla's stunning beaches, coastal plains, rivers and mountains. Castles are a few more tourist hotspots worth pulling your camera out for. If the sun is shining (or even if it's not), you could also have a whirl at some exciting activities like mountain climbing and hiking.

Need more options? Hole up like a rockstar in Namhae (just try not to wreck the joint). Located 70 kilometres away and home to Nabi Saengtae Park and the Boriam Temple, it's bound to be a trip to remember! If you'd like to spend a few nights in Namhae, consider the rates at the Pension Manoa and Opera House Pension. Or, you could consider staying in Gwangju, 75 kilometres to the northwest of Handong, where you can pick from the Holiday Inn Gwangju and Pedro's House - Hostel.
