It is a very very old hotel with no frills, and just one block back from the beach. Everything was walking distance. It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable, if you have these two things you can make do. Just beware of getting a room facing the street, the noise was horrendous.

It is an old hotel one you would see on the movies. What you see is what you get in the 1960s including the wallpaper and carpet with broken hook hangers behind the door. Don't expect too much as the pictures are nor completely accurate. If you are looking for a place to sleep overnight for cheap, this is it. We used a fresh towel to cover the pillow because it had a stain on both sides. But the reception staff are amazing

This was a great place to stay. AC was not great but that was the only negative. Staff were super kind and helpful. The beach was a very short walk. Great option for staying in Waikiki.

I was traveling on my own. I got to the property and was given my room. I had to walk through a little alley to get to the elevator(it looked grimy and dirty). Once I got off the elevator there was 2 doors to me left. I opened my room and it was very small, dark and loud. I opened the curtain to fon out that it didn’t even have an actual full window!! It was like a curtain glass window! I heard EVERYTHING that was happening outside!!! I sat there and said to myself there is no way I was going to actually get sleep here. I immediately booked my stay at the Twin Fin and left within 20 min of getting there. I was charged for that night but I didn’t even care at that point

Everyone in the staff was great except for this one tall scrawny guy who said he was the manager. I was just talking with my friend and laughing in our room when he came and banged on my door, when I open the door he didn't even say hi or talked to me in a respectful way, he had a terrible attitude and very rudely threatened me that if we didn't keep it down he was going to kick us out when I stayed there for a full week and already paid the entire thing. This was the first time I was told that we were being too loud by the staff and immediately Im threatened to be kicked out? The way it was handled was extremely rude by this man, but at least all the front desk ladies were very polite, he should be reevaluated, he made my stay very unpleasant.

We did not stay there, someone at expedia lied to me, they said this had a rating of 7 Out of 10 stars. It was dirty, the pool water looked slimy and it wasn’t in the best neighborhood. I ended up not even checking in. I had my 3 grandchildren with me and I didn’t want to expose them not only to the filthy hotel, I didn’t want them to experience the ladies of the night hanging around there and the drug addicts. In fact I would like my money refunded and I will be sharing my experience with Expedia with everyone I know and if you are on social media I will be sharing there how someone there lied to me about this place.

This place does not have any parking. And the place we parked at was 50 bucks a night. It was nice to be able to use the towels for the beach. Only to blocks away from the statute of Duke the surfer. JUST NO PARKING

Though the location is perfect this hotel is far from perfect. The hotel is very, very dated. The front area seems old and the furniture was old, faded and dated. Our rooms main room door looked like they have tried to fix seemed hollow, button lock, old chain lock, vents on the doors so you hear everything in the hall, didn’t seem safe at all. Kitchen was clean, frig also clean, as was the bed and sheets very clean. Curtains on window to deck were dirty, curtain under the air conditioning unit looked like it should have been replaced years ago and cleaned. The bathroom was small with a pedal sink and a small closet. Also notice black mold outside bathroom door on ceiling. Knew we couldn’t stay also didn’t feel safe. The front desk lady was very accommodating and allowed us to check out after one night. If they renovated the rooms I would most likely stay. The rooms themselves were large and the location is a block from the beach and major shopping area.

Really close to the main public beach of Waikiki, however property is a bit dated. Comes with kitchenette so you can self cater. Close to all the action, close to the beach if you into surfing on the cheap.

I reserved one room. But ended up booking another room for my family. Which is fine. That 2nd room was smelled like sewer. Location was great. It’s not in front of the beach but close enough. And there were restaurants around it so it’s very convenient; however, parking rates are expensive if you have a rental car. Room appears clean, but I’ll bet there are areas that are not as clean as they look. The shower curtain smelled in my room. Facility appears to be old and not very well maintained. I didn’t even feel comfortable getting into the pool. Also, walls are thin. We can hear everything. It was an ok stay, but I won’t be staying here again if I can help it.

The property is not clean. We had to clean our bathrooms on day one. The bedding was not changed on one of the beds, and it was yellow and smelly in some parts. The only positive thing is the location - only two blocks from Waikiki. This stay is not for everyone. If you can handle poor conditions and plan to stay mostly outside, go for it. Do not recommend coming with kids. The receptionist is super slow and unwilling to help with anything.

The Hotel staff is very rude and seems don't know their job, there was a luggage in the room that I was supposed to stay. It seems that the staff did not check the room if it's available before they issue my room key. The room was dirty unkept, the place is noisy and unsafe!!!

Space was dirty and disgusting, covers smelled and looked unwashed, ac was grimy and did not work properly, bathroom broke down and no one helped to fix it so I had to leave the property to use the toilet, which was more than inconvenient. It defeats the purpose of a hotel. When asked hours later if someone was going to fix it, they said there is no maintenance. When told I was going to check out and dispute the stay, the older lady that answered, said ok! Just like that! Dont waste your money. Even though its cheap, you dont get what you pay for. It should be closed down if they cant do their ONE job!
