Close to the beach the pool was nice The stuff was pretty rude to push you out the room not one minute later 5mint before 12 noon they called you at Noon their at the door knocking to get you out. Even know I had another night in the same hotel I had to wait 3hrs in the office to go to my other room Not happy with the service Thank you

This is my 2nd stay at the Royal Grove. If you just want an affordable place to sleep that is in an amazing location, just blocks from the beach, this is perfect. The rooms are outdated and run down. But they are clean, secure and quiet. The bed is comfortable, AC worked great, there is a kitchenette, a balcony. I only sleep and shower here, am out and about, so I truly don't care that it is run down. The staff is friendly and you can check out a beach towel, they even have beach items you can borrow, umbrellas, chairs, floats. And this is the only hotel I could find that doesn't charge a resort fee. Parking is a bit of a walk, but I found a parking garage for $25/day at the Aston Sunset Waikiki, right next to the $45 lots that the hotel recommends. I'll be back. It's nice to know that there is an affordable place to stay in the perfect location.

Low budget & Convenient Place to Rest
My partner & I needed a place to stay on low as possible budget so we essentially got what we paid for. If we have the flexibility to pay more to stay someplace nicer, I would. Our room was small and next to a busy street so there was a lot of noise at nighttime making it hard to sleep. We had mostly what we needed to rest and sleep. The location itself though is great near a lot of places including the beach. The hotel doesn't have their own parking accommodation so you'd have to rely on public parking which is definitely to come by - there's either metered, paid parking lots, or free street parking. Definitely recommend parking on Ala Moana Blvd if you can find a spot & if you don't mind walking!

My first expression was what did I get us in. But when we got to our room, it was decent , comfortable and no bugs. The people we met in elevator were so kind and helpful. My attitude changed, we were treated like family. I would definitely return hereon my next trip to Hawaii. Location and for the first time we got in the water, beach is safe and plenty of life guards. First time in all my trips I don't want to come home. Best thing is reception, they all treated us like family. Keep up the good work,you all do a great job

This property was poorly maintained. Mold all over the kitchen and bathroom. Peeling paint chunks coming off the ceiling. A foul smell or sewage coming from the bathroom and sink daily.

It is a very very old hotel with no frills, and just one block back from the beach. Everything was walking distance. It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable, if you have these two things you can make do. Just beware of getting a room facing the street, the noise was horrendous.
