The top floor room view and balcony was great. Excellent beach access. Quiet room except for the sound of the elevator from 5 am to 11 pm every day.
The in-room coffee service wasn’t cleaned or restocked so I had to call housekeeping. They apologized and came with the coffee packets in about 20 minutes.
I wasn’t informed about the “welcome gift” until 1 & 1/2 days into the weeklong holiday so I missed out on coupon and discount opportunities.
The Queensbreak restaurant wait staff were lovely. I opted for a la carte breakfast rather than buffet, and got a shockingly meager portion for the extremely high cost.
The Queensbreak poolside bar atmosphere was not inviting. One day, I encountered a bartender who complained to me about the other way customers treated the menus??!!! Another day, the poolside waiter never even looked in my direction for an hour. He served the same side of the pool, going to the bar for every individual order, for so long that I eventually gave up went to bar myself. When I did, he seemed annoyed at me?
Also, I ordered food (to go… like I said, not inviting) then realizing I had a coupon, mentioned it to the bartender intending to buy a drink while I waited. Before I could finish my sentence he said “You already settled your bill,” so I couldn’t apply the coupon to the bill. No, buddy. If ya let me finish talking… I’m buying a drink with it. I still tipped them, mind you.
