The Royal Garden at Waikiki is a luxurious and intimate condo-hotel. The moment you enter the lobby, you’re embraced by stunning Italian marble walls, columns and floors. Unlike the large, crowded hotels, this is a relaxed setting in a quieter, area of Waikiki with 6 floors of privately owned condos (like ours), and the rest are operated by Wyndham Resorts as Timeshares. You can walk to the beach, shopping, dining within minutes or walk or take a free trolley ride to the world-renowned Ala Moana Shopping Center or The Hawaii Convention center.

But, you don't need a car as everything is walking distance and public transportation is everywhere. The trolley's in Waikiki are free and Uber and Lyft are everywhere including to/from the airport. "The Bus" will take you anywhere on island for a few dollars and you can put DaBus app on your phone for real time information or pay just $60 for an unlimited monthly ride pass. Another option is to rent a car for the days you need. There are the major car rental agencies walking distance from the condo and you can also rent cars by the day from Hui, which has 17 locations in Waikiki or Turo if you need to. Exactly as described
We felt comfortable from the moment we stepped in the door. We were greeted by the Security personnel who facilitated our check-in process. Within 10 minutes we were on the elevator up to the 19th floor and then out on the balcony overlooking the Ala Wai Canal. While not an ocean view, the view was interesting and relaxing. The clouds over the mountains/hills were ever changing and predicted the weather for us. Watching the rowers on the canal and the ball players at the park were an added bonus. But enough of the view! The condo was comfortable and well equipped. Beach chairs, beach mats, yoga mats, snorkel/masks, flippers and a cooler were available for our use. The laundry facilities on the 4th floor were convenient; the condo even has laundry baskets for us to use! Mike, the owner, was communicative and helpful. It was a short walk two blocks and through the park to the beach. Great location! Will definitely stay there on our next trip to Oahu, which hopefully will be sooner than later. Mahalo!

Nice and cozy stay with many amenities (free laundry with multiple units, 2 saunas, gym, pool, game room, etc.)! Walkable city life close to beach. If plan on renting a car, try daily rates to avoid finding and paying high parking fees.

The Studio Condo was well equipped and provided us with everything we needed. The location was great. An easy walk to shops & restaurants. Also, great access to buses and trolleys. Mike was great to deal with. He provided all the info we needed for our stay and check in was seamless. Our first evening we heard lots of sirens and was concerned about the noise for sleeping. It wasn't a problem at all and we're both light sleepers. Although we didn't use the laundry, it was available to us free of charge, which is a big plus when travelling. Highly recommend the condo for a couple.

My husband and I rated this property 5 stars. However, our adult son, who slept on the pullout said the bed was really hard and he had trouble sleeping. We were pleasantly surprised to find beach chairs, beach mats, etc. on the balcony. Very thoughtful.

Nice Spot! Try It!
Nice place. Full bath, studio kitchen and seated balcony are all well appointed. Frosty mini-split keeps you cool for sleeping. Location is ideal to beach, shopping and boat harbor for fishing (walking distance to the boat I used). Add a bus pass and see the entire area easily with stops right near the building.

We are an easygoing couple, but this property was above and beyond what I expected! From the start the owner communicated efficiently and was very friendly. Reading all the reviews of other properties was overwhelming, and it's hard to filter the high maintenance or irrational folk from the truly snowed ones. I think it's important to know priorities! Ours were: cleanliness, a well-equipped kitchen, good internet for the occasional work check-in, and a quieter location at night. The place was very clean, with lots of towels, blankets, a desk area, a great little balcony with the view of the canal for morning coffee. The kitchen has a medium size fridge, good freezer, hot plate and lots of utensils. Bonus: left over seasonings, and shampoos and sunscreen in the bathroom. The internet is super fast, and the location is just a few minutes walk from the quieter beach across the park. Where we went swimming and spotted sea turtles while snorkeling just randomly. At night it is nice and quiet. And we much preferred it to being close to Waikiki beach (too crowded and touristy - not our style) Everyone from the owner, the concierge to the valets were just the nicest people on earth. But not "fake nice", like actually genuinely nice. Giving us lots of tips on where to park our motorcycles. This property does not include a parking stall, but the building has it for $50 a night. We rode all over the island on motorcycles, so parking wasn't an issue. 10 stars! Highly recommend!

Wonderful suite in a perfect location
The suite itself, friendly hosts, resort amenities and staff all once again contributed to a safe, clean, quiet and relaxing vacation. A comfortable bed, cooking facilities, lanai over looking the Ala Wai canal for your morning coffee or meals, and a host that’s easy to communicate with should you have any questions. Exceptional Christmas & New Year!
The condo is small but clean and quiet with a very comfortable bed, kitchen facilities and good view of the canal from the lanai. A lovely place to have a glass of wine and applies after a busy day in the sun. Access to the pool, fitness centre, and free laundry facilities were great amenities. We appreciated all of these! We also found that the people who worked at the facility were not only friendly but extremely helpful and addressed any concerns immediately. This condo is in an excellent location. Close to the beautiful Fort De Russy Park and Beach. We found the beach chairs extremely useful. There is also a new Food Market close by with fresh morning coffee and treat as well as other essentials. Many restaurants are within walking distance. Buses, which go everywhere on island, were just a block away. The communication with the owners was friendly, easy and comprehensive. We understood that we had rented a one bedroom condo but it turned out to be a studio condo. Wires crossed from sight description. However, we adjusted and this studio condo served us well. We had a wonderful three weeks in Hawaii and would definitely recommend this condo. Mahalo!

Our second year to stay here
Condo is small but suited our needs very well. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. It’s close enough to the beach for a nice walk but far enough away to be a bit more peaceful. Located in the Wyndham TimeShare resort gives you the strength of a well kept property with the ability to use the pool and laundry and there are always people there to greet you when you come in so it feels very safe. The host is excellent! When we had issues due to cancellation of the MAX planes and bad weather, he was more than willing to work with us if we needed to come in early. Can’t say enough about the hosts and how nice they are.

Everything I hoped for!
The condo was clean, quiet, safe and relaxing with a super comfortable bed. Centrally located and so close for those morning walks to the beach boardwalk, bus stop around the corner and within a 5 minute walk to so many restaurants. Loved the ability to cook and eat on the lanai over looking the canal and enjoying the city views. Bonus - very good wifi, free laundry facilities, outdoor pool area with lots of lounge chairs, bbq facilities and friendly resort staff. The owners are very easy to work with, respecting your privacy but there should you have any questions. Mahalo and can’t wait to return in the new year!

Just perfect for our needs. It exceeded expectations. It’s small and SUPER efficient. I even had my favorite French press for coffee:) The skyline from the 19th floor balcony is breathtaking. 8 minute walk to see the Friday night fireworks from the Hilton, free and right on the beach. Communication with owner was above and beyond, it’s like talking to friends. Highly recommend.

My husband and I spent 17 days at this property. It was well equipped for our needs. There was some remodeling going on in the unit above, but the owner reached out to us several times to make sure the noise wasn't an issue for us. He even arranged a quiet space in the owner's lounge for my husband. The people who work at the property are very friendly and helpful. There's a concierge who can arrange tours if you're interested. There are many washers and dryers available for free. Bed was comfortable. We closed the lanai door at night and used the AC while sleeping so noise was never an issue at night. Would stay here agai
