This cabin is in a quiet area at the end of a road with tall pine trees. It has a forest in the back and a deck where you can drink coffee and see wildlife like deer, bluebirds, woodpeckers, squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, and lizards. It's only a 6-minute drive to get to Idyllwild's town center and the hiking trails.
Scout’s Hideaway has a mix of modern and vintage styles, with two big bedrooms (one with a king bed, one with a queen) and a living room that opens onto the deck. The kitchen is fully equipped and there's coffee and tea available.
In the evening, you can light a fire in the wood-burning stove, have a glass of whiskey or wine, and watch the sunset from the deck. The cabin is meant to be a peaceful place to enjoy nature and the company of friends and family, so we have games and puzzles but no TV; ready for the entertainment device of your dreams? Just let us know, and we’ll bring it right to you. There's WiFi, but it's the perfect place to disconnect.

-Cancellations: Bookings canceled at least 60 days before the start of the stay will receive a full refund, with a $150.00 cancellation charge. Bookings canceled at least 30 days before the start of the stay will receive a 50% refund plus a $150.00 cancellation charge.
No Cancellations are Allowed for November, December, and January.
- Pets: We do allow dogs, however, please note that there is a fee of $35 per dog per night. If you plan to bring more than one dog, you must obtain prior approval and additional fees may apply. When booking through selected third-party sites such as Airbnb, once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a payment request for the dog fee, which should be paid separately.
- Check-in instructions: Please check in at the main office.
Parking: Free parking is available for 1 vehicle (Seasonal Restrictions Apply; chains are recommended in winter, and 4X4 is HIGHLY Recommended).
- Outdoor lighting: Please note that outdoor lighting must comply with Riverside County regulations and must not blink, flash, or rotate. Guests will be held liable for any "light trespass" on surrounding properties.

- Rental agreement: Please review our rental agreement for our house rules. You will receive an emailed version to sign, but if you prefer other options, please inquire.
- Age restrictions: Due to the new County of Ordinance 927.2: We no longer accept reservations for anyone under 21 years of age.
- Seasonal wood delivery: If available, there is a $25 fee per bundle (approximately 20 pieces). Please provide at least 5 days' notice for a Friday arrival date or at least 3 days' notice for any other day of the week. Please note that there are no refunds for this service.
- Confirmation: Upon booking this property through Airbnb, New Spirit Vacation Homes will send you a direct email confirming your reservation. Attached to this confirmation will be a contract you need to review, sign, and send back within 24 hours.
- Incidentals: We reserve the right to request payment for any incidentals. This includes but is not limited to firewood, pet fees, special occasion requests, personal grocery drop-offs, pay-per-view movies or sporting events, and damaged property.
Guests booking this home under the age of 25 years of age will provide an additional security deposit of $250-$500 on the day of arrival, depending on the home
