--this is probably the best place in Iksan; it's generally quite nice and comfortable
--but there was some crazy design involving the bathroom door; I don't blame you, dear reader, if you think this is unbelievable, but the bathroom door (a large sliding panel) is designed in such a way that only way to open the room fridge (or access the kettle immediately above the fridge) is to keep the bathroom door open (and conversely, if you want to enter the bathroom, the fridge must be closed, and you cannot access the kettle area). this is because of where the fridge door swings open (the kettle is an alcove above the fridge), and where the bathroom door slides. so, there were some eventful acrobatics, moving back and forth between the fridge/kettle area and the bathroom. strange.
--there is a convenient bus stop outside the hotel (for getting to the train station and the Baekje historic sites -- it's not really walking distance to the station), but you won't want to stay in the hotel neighborhood, as it is right next to an industrial park.
