Location is right next to Hagia Sofia. Room we had was fairly spacious with a balcony and huge bathrooms. Really loved the large shower and turkish style bath with the marble sink and seats in the shower. Bed was comfortable. And staff was super friendly.
HOWEVER
- The location doesn’t seem to be accessible for Taxis. Ours dropped us off at the bottom of the hill because of the tram. We had to walk up hill with our luggage on cobblestone and observed other guests arriving do the same to get to the hotel. So book proper Airport transfers that will get you right at the hotel’s door step.
- The hotel is old and needs updating. The rooms are clean but tired. Like the carpet in the room has old stains. The air conditioners are also old and underpowered for the room size and need replacing.
We arrived in the evening and its been a very hot week (its summer time and there is a heat wave) the room we had would not cool and we could not sleep. Around 11pm we requested to maybe borrow an electric fan if available but they did not have one. After 3 hours we requested for a different room otherwise we were going to check out and book somewhere else. luckily they had another room available hoping it would be better. The new room took about 6 hours to cool but after that it was okay.
