Nice unit - incredibly bad communication

Lovely unit however we have stayed at ASR for 30+ years and have NEVER had such a problem with communication with an owner/lessor before as we did with Mock's Amelia Vacations. The link on VRBO to communicate did not work and the phone number provided was sent to voice mail most of the time. The phone was not answered on the weekend at all. Elisha Mock told me that she "could not possibly answer the phone on the weekend otherwise she would never have any time off." It took multiple (13) phone calls to clear up a credit card that had to be updated and to rent the place for additional days after we were first offered the rental for additional time by Mock's Amelia Vacations. We love the Amelia Surf and Racquet condos but would not rent one again from Mock's Amelia Vacations.

The unit was nice and the beds comfortable, but the building elevators could use some attention and the property manager could provide a few more hangers in the closet and some backup tools of toilet paper, but everything else was fine.

This is a very nice property in a great location. The views of the beach and ocean are gorgeous. The only negative is that it could use some updating and minor repairs. I would definitely recommend this property.

Spectacular views!

Pristine condo. Sparkling clean. Comfortable king size bed. Views are breathtaking. Only issue was trying to get into our unit. There were zero instructions for how to get through the main gate. Ended up calling Mock Vacation Rentals after hours and had to talk to maintenance to get instructions. While I was on phone with them, my husband walked through the gate and to the condo to get the gate clicker. Other than that, it was absolute perfection! Highly recommend.

Several reminders to property manager, there were dirty dishes in cabinets, which I had to wash; bathroom was missing toliet paper, which I had to purchase, in addition to purchasing dish wash liquid. Maintenance was called to repair The central heating. Overall the location and unit was enjoyable.

Awesome Experience

The condo was first class with an amazing ocean front view. We enjoyed watching people play on the beach from the 7th story penthouse. The decks were great all day long & the entire unit was super clean. Location was perfect!

Christmas in Amelia Island

This condo met all expectations. It was comfortably set up and the location was beautiful. The swivel chairs at the big windows made for a comfortable place to sip coffee as the sun came up. They supplied us with paper good, beach chairs and beach towels. Woo I’ll definitely book again.

Very Enjoyable Experience

My family enjoyed a short getaway just before Christmas. High Surf was a great choice with incredible views of the Atlantic. The unit was very clean and comfortable. The pocket door for the master bathroom is incredibly difficult to close and open, and that should be addressed. However everything else was great, and we plan to return for another visit to High Surf in the near future.

Beautiful home

We enjoyed our stay at high surf. It was spacious and clean and beautifully decorated. Bed was very comfortable. Sunrises and sea breeze gave us a wonderful start to our day. We tried to find a loading cart, but we were never able to locate one.(our only complaint) We look forward to coming back again soon.

Beautiful condo!

The condo was very clean and well maintained! The views from the 7th floor are gorgeous...the pictures don’t do it justice. Comfortable beds and linens. Lots of “extras” - beach chairs, toys, umbrellas, etc. Would highly recommend! Couple things that would be helpful to add: note that there is a contract to sign. We didn’t know that and unfortunately didn’t get an email about it so caused a bit of scrambling the day before check in. The other is instructions on how to get through the front gate upon arrival. It wasn’t very clear on how to do this. Otherwise, everything else was perfect!

Excellent Condo

The condo was just as advertised, almost scary. Even the wrinkle in the carpet by the coffee table was there. It was a very pleasant stay and the sound of the ocean in the morning was fantastic. It was a bit cold to use the pool but walking the beach was fantastic. Everything in the condo worked perfectly and the place was clean and ready for our use. I communicated with the property manager and they were professional and gracious. We really enjoyed the stay.

Nice place.

The view is the condo's best feature. It's a lovely condo -- very relaxing and quiet. The beach is nice and not crowded. The Ritz is within walking distance and it's enjoyable to walk over for drinks or a meal. The village of Fernandina is special with lots of restaurants and shops- very quaint. We would definitely go back.
