I stayed at JUFA Jülich for almost 2 weeks and was very pleased with my experience.
All members of the staff (who had direct contact with hotel guests) spoke excellent English. Sinice I am an American with limited German vocabulary, I relied heavily on their hospitality and was pleased to find that they were incredibly accomodating.
The free breakfast buffet was quite good, with enough options to please those with picky tastes. Lunch and dinner usually consisted of traditional German dishes and were generally of good quality, though on the expensive side price-wise. The bar also offered a variety of beer and wine and was well tended.
Though minimalist in design and feature, the rooms were quite comfortable, very clean, and relatively spacious. Housekeeping was excellent and always made sure to clean the rooms thoroughly.
The hotel is a short (less than 2 km) and beautiful walk (along the river) to the center of Jülich, but taxis are also easy to order and quick to arrive if walking is undesirable.
It should be noted that JUFA is VERY family friendly. As such, there were usually a large number of children (especially during the weekend). JUFA has many offerings to entertain children of all ages, though, so there was minimal disruption or noise in the hotel.
All in all, I had an excellent experience at JUFA Jülich and would highly recommend the hotel to anyone looking to stay in that area.
