You don't need to go too far to enjoy some impressive natural sights. Dig out your car keys and follow the road to Altja Nature Trail, 40 kilometres away from Kalvi, for a laid-back day. Or maybe Vosu-Nommeveski Hiking Trail is more your thing? It's located just 45 kilometres away.

Are you wild about sports? Then you should investigate the event schedule at Rakvere Municipal Stadium, located 30 kilometres to the southwest in Rakvere.

Ruins of St. Mary's Chapel and the Kalvi Manor are quite close to the centre of Aseri, 6 kilometres to the southeast. Need more? Someru, 25 kilometres to the southwest of Kalvi, boasts the Tarvas Statue and Rakvere's Central Square.

Whether it's for a spot of shopping or to explore the sights, locals and travellers alike often make their way over to Rakvere, 30 kilometres to the southwest. If you're travelling by plane, it's probably wise to decide a route to the terminal in advance. From the middle of Kalvi, you'll need to go about 110 kilometres west to Lennart Meri Airport (TLL), the closest airport.
