Amazing staff , food & hotel.

Taru Villas, Maia, Habarana is an amazing boutique hotel, where you felt completely by youself. The staff were amazing and always making sure we had a great stay. The food was very delicious and the rooms and pool very nice to relax in. I can really recommend this place for a nice and quiet place with lovely staff around you.

Sad case of lovely hotel falling into decay after Covid. We four were only guests for our two day stay. Staff could not do enough but could not find booking, pool very neglected and rooms although enormous could do with a large amount of tender loving care. One I hope succeeds in the future.

Enjoyed our 2 nights here. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and had many choices! Property is serene and feels wonderful. The view from the pool and dining area of Lions Rock is fabulous. Many choices of restaurants in the area within 10 minutes walking. We ate a la carte dinner one night in the hotel restaurant and thought it was great - vegetable curries with rice, vegetable spring rolls and nasi goreng. We also walked to Lions Rock and on to Pidurangala Rock - it takes about a half hour to each, so plan for a minimum 1 hour walk each way. Overall, really liked it here. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to be close to the rock.

this is for adventurers only who are fine with living in the nature. my 4 years old son and I loved it. the service was excellent and the homemade food served at the restaurant is the best we had during our trip in Sri Lanka.

This hotel lived up to the great ratings it has received...and then some. Every employee we encountered was warm and friendly. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, the rooms lovely. Best was all the elephant themed art work throughout the property. It was like walking in a modern art museum!
