Beautiful location, and the room, while expensive, was very clean, modern, and quiet. We got a good night’s sleep, and as a bonus, they included breakfast.
Wonderful. Nice rooms with a bathroom. Nice communal space upstairs with fridge, microwave, and sink. The free breakfast was great and the best breakfast we’ve had this trip.
Great location to see the South of Iceland. Good accommodation and healthy breakfast with variety.
We stayed in the main building annexing the cafe. Avoid the lower floor room if possible since the slightest movement on the upper floor was resonating in our room until late night and again early morning.
The horses in the field attracted our attention immediately. The room is very clean and well equipped. With a group of 6, we love the common area where we decided to just relax and order in one night. The breakfast in the morning was superb to make travel so much more convenient. The check in process and everything were very seamless!
What I like the most was the breakfast, well served, many options. What I did not like was the size of the room, very small, and parking spots limited.
We had a great stay and met some other fun travelers. Even though the guesthouse was rather full when we stayed, everyone did their best to keep quiet and share the common areas. It was a lot of fun! Our room was perfectly clean and the beds were comfortable, we were really lucky to find this place because we needed 3 beds and they had the perfect room. I would definitely stay again!
Warm accommodation with basic facilities including a fridge and microwave for guests to use. Shared showerroom was a bit slimy but having our own toilet was great. 15mins from town where there are restaurants as it wasnt really equipped for making dinner on site due to the lack of facilities. Small twin room as well but fine for a night. Parking available as well.
I have never paid as much money for such a basic accommodation. The building has the same quality as a teahouse in the Everest treck...you hear every move from tge neighbours. The rooms don't even have handsoap. 150€ for this, given that there are not many options around would have been more than enough...but 300€ is absolutely abusive. Find a different option in the area....unless glorified camping houses with NY prices are your thing!
Very nice welcome & explanation of facilities/parking. Good sized room and nice chairs/sofas in common areas.
Kitchen a bit pokie/cramped for multiple users.
Entrance driveway hard on cars with rough surface and big potholes.
The breakfast was very nice with selection of fruit, cereal, toast, waffles, cheese, cold meats and juices. Staff all very friendly.
However the higher price for this accommodation was a surprise.
Based on past reviews, we knew going in that the quality of the hotel was not going to be great. It was the only available hotel for a last minute reservation. But given that we paid more than $200 per room, we expected more. The beds were old, the sheets and pillows even older. The general condition of the room and bathroom was very dated. Do not recommend for that price. More akin to a $100/night motel.
