I am Cuban American visiting for the first time Cienfuegos: The city is pretty, the people friendly, and the weather is good.
As far as the hostal "Casa Colonial el Sol" I will say that Yala, the host, as well as her husband, offer an excellent, dedicated and caring service to all the guests.
The breakfast was excellent, delicious fruit, omelettes, good coffee, milk, bread and crêpes.
They have for the power blackouts rechargeable lamps and fans that are provided to the guests.
Wi-Fi service is also good, they are able to connect it to a generator to offer that service permanently.
I will highly recommend to stay in hostal "Casa Colonial el Sol" located one block from "Prado de Cienfuegos".
