The prominent city of Panama City is within reach of La Pena. You'll find this bustling centre 190 kilometres to the northeast.

Break out on a journey to some nearby natural sights. 45 kilometres out of La Pena, El Salto Waterfall is just waiting to be explored. Alto de Piedra Waterfall, 40 kilometres away, is another fabulous spot to kick back and relax.

If you're contemplating venturing outwards, journey 14 kilometres southeast to Santiago. It's here you'll come across Plaza Banconal and Catedral of Santiago Apostol. Keen to visit Town Square, Orchid House and Catholic Church of Santa Fe? Head over to Santa Fe, 35 kilometres to the north, and set up base. These attractions, as well as Mercado and Cerro Tute, are all close by.
