'Festa do Banho 29' (29 August)
Please note that each year on 29 August Lagos celebrates the traditional 'Festa do Banho', which includes historical recreations, food and drinks, traditional swimwear parades and lots of musical entertainment.
This is a great way to experience the local culture.
The location for this event is usually on the beach directly opposite the block where this apartment is situated - which means that you will have a great view of the party and will be able to experience the wonderful atmosphere - but keep in mind that there will be loud music from the party.
The 'Festa do Banho' takes place on 1 night only (29 August).
However, other events may take place before that date.
Please take this into consideration if you are intending to stay in this apartment at the end of August.

Modern Apartment Close to the Beach
This was a perfectly situated place that was only about a 10min walk to the old town part of Lagos, has a beach right in front and about a 30min walk to the famous caves. The place itself has all modern fixtures and great amenities including a spacious patio facing the sea. If you are up for it, I highly recommend a kayak tour through the caves which was amazing as it was beautiful weather, but challenging with some pretty big waves. There is an excellent restaurant a couple of minutes away from the place called Mar that I recommend and also Casa Do Ze close to the old town that has great service and quite possibly the best 'fried' squid I have ever had. There are also a couple of historic places right around the corner to stop in otherwise you have beaches in each direction. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location walking distance to town and beach in front of unit with lots of activity .Also with a car has underground parking .the only thing to remember in September. can be cold at night
