I’m so thrilled we chose villa Margherita ! It was perfectly situated close to Cinque Terre but also a world apart. I enjoyed Levanto, the scenery, beach and all the dining and shopping options. Fredrico and his staff were superb. Efficient, friendly, and professional. They work hard to make your stay a great one. I apprecall their efforts. Would definitely recommend!!

The location is excellent, up a slight hill, and an easy walk to the beach and the train station. The rooms are well insulated— I couldn’t hear a sound from other rooms although it was full. Very good breakfasts. Nice garden area, although it was too rainy while I was there to use them. Friendly staff.

Good location between sea and station. Peaceful gardens. Good spaces. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Relaxing way to experience the sea (glad we stayed here instead of cinque terre towns!)

Beautiful spot! Close to town & not too far from the train station and ferry boats- nice breakfast and coffee - a great place to stay in Levanto! We had a rental car, so parking was one of our requirements- so grateful we had a place to leave the car while we explored Cinque Terre

Lovely villa surrounded by gardens, friendly owner speaks excellent English (he studied in England), wonderful breakfast buffet with so many options (I am gluten free and still found plenty I could eat). Cheerful staff. Smart TV in room so I could watch English shows on Youtube. Fridge in room, bottled water supplied daily. The main drawback for me was the entrance is on a busy road with virtually no pavement and some blind corners, I really felt like I was taking my life in my hands particularly in the dark. Had some trouble with mosquitoes in the gardens. Easy walk into town and Levanto was lovely, a good base to explore the Cinque Terres but much more relaxed and less crowded than them. I recommend the boat trip down the coast.

Wonderful breakfast, views, great location if visiting Cinque Terre. Very close yet in it's own nice village, with lots of restaurants and great energy. Beach was really nice, too.

Great place to stay when visiting Cinque Terre
Easy walk into the center of town. Area much less crowded then the other towns in Cinque Terre area and an easy walk to train. The owners speak fluent English, which for us was a real plus. Parts of Levanto have no sidewalks or street lights, so bring a flashlight to warn on-coming drivers at night as Villa Margherita, in particular, is on a blind curve. Would stay there again and would recommend the place to others.

Very disappointing.
Positives: The hotel grounds are very nice, and despite their proximity to the road afford several relaxing outdoor spots with reclining chairs and verdant lawns. You can also see the hotel has several nice rooms. Negatives: Whilst the hotel retains some of the old-world charm it clearly once had, it is beginning to look rather tired. Floor tiles are broken in several places and frequently dirty. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable. Our room was very small and we had to change it once due to an unpleasant smell. Breakfast, whilst varied, was not of a high quality. In all, this hotel does not offer value for money.

Extremely hospitable staff. Went above and beyond to take care of us and make sure we were comfortable and happy. We only booked one night, but the staff was so courteous, and the accomodations so nice, we ended up staying two additional nights. Great location. Levanto is a cute town with olenty of food options and beach! And, from the hotel, it's just a ten-minute walk to the train station in order to go to Cinque Terre, and the first village of Cinque Terre - Monterosso - is just one stop away.

Good choice
Our room was quite comfortable. Hotel grounds are very nice. The hotel is uphill from the town. Walking into town and back without luggage isn't a big deal if you're fit. The hotel provided free transport when we arrived and left.
