A very nice place with decent rooms that is somewhat tarnished by the service and experience in the restaurant and service at the front desk. I was seated by myself in a highly visible part of the restaurant. My drink order was taken. 20 minutes past and no follow-up for my food order. I had to go to the bar and ask someone to find my waiter so I could place my order. The bartender made no effort to do so, and eventually the waiter came by the table with no apology and simply asked what I would like to eat. My meal came out pretty quickly, in about 15 more minutes. After that, I watched my waiter walk by my table 3-4 times, only to clean up other tables near me. Never asked if I wanted anything else. Never asked if I needed another drink. I had to walk back to the bar to order another soda. My bill was never brought to me, and I had to walk to the bar to ask them to put the bill on my room. At which point, I had to wait at the bar for another 10 minutes until they verified that they could, indeed, put it on my room. Very strange service experience for an otherwise very nice building.

For Americans (or other North Americans) coming in via Shannon: a short (25 min?) drive into the city from the airport, parking in underground garage that is gated. Very helpful staff that understood I was flat out exhausted but had to stay up for jet lag. I could leave my luggage in my car until the room was ready. Short walk into city center, sites to see, and the river walk. Strongly recommended. Buffet or to-order breakfast was robust, more than enough, and with a nice view of the river. Go ahead and add that. Great base for operations.

Hotel was ok hard to get in to find. However nice lobby and staff nice and helpful. Directed us to dinner places took a wrong turn and did not seem very safe. Overall a nice stay but beds were very hard.

Wonderful Stay, Highly Recommend!
Great stay, this hotel was very comfortable and the service was exceptional. Harry’s on the River Restaurant was delicious, we had a great dinner and the breakfast offerings were well worth the price. It is well situated to get around Limerick without a car. We wanted to be location so we could easily travel and tour western Ireland.

The Absolute was great wish I had more time to enjoy the beautiful property on river. The staff were exceptional! Very walkable , but parking onsite also . Room was large and bathroom was also , loved the hotel !
