I didn’t expected to stay in a different building and end up have to walk back and forth to the main building for breakfast. The road to another building is slightly up hill with stairs. Make sure you ask for the main building when you book. It’s no fun to walk in the rain back to the main building just for breakfast or checking out. It’s not even close to the dock. I would say it’s a good 10-15 min distance. The room is nice and quiet.

We stayed 2 nights in room 1305. It is on the 5th floor and has beautiful balcony view of the lake every morning and evening. Yes the church bell chimed at 6am and 6pm everyday but it was quite pleasant to listen to when you are not sleeping. Breakfast spread is good. Reception’s Elena was the most sweet, pretty and pleasant girl to help us store our luggage when we arrived early and check in for us swiftly when we returned after our lunch. 2 nice restaurants by the lake are very near the hotel, just a few metres away. When we arrived at Carpark 1, we used the free phone and the shuttle mini bus came quickly to pick us. The hotel also arranged for another car to fetch us back swiftly after we checked out. Everything is perfect. So we will be back if we visit Hallstatt again and will definitely recommend to all our friends to stay here.

Having breakfast available each morning and included in the price was a huge plus! Saved us alot of time and money, it was also very good. The shuttle from P1 parking to the hotel made parking and moving bags very easy. Be prepared, the bells in Hallstatt go off at 6 am each morning and they really ring the bells. First time they went off I thought there was an emergency, just time to start the day. The only negative I would say is the shower, no shower curtain and only a half glass wall so the floor got wet when showering. Not a big deal. Lake rooms have a beautiful view, try and get a second flood room if possible. We had a 1st floor and it was just fine but a little higher would have been even a bigger plus.

overall experience was good however there was an accident ruined it for me. During my second night in the hotel while I was resting in the room another guest have open the room door and walked in inside my room, it was scary moment to have someone opens your hotel door luckily I was inside the room. When I asked he said I was checked in by reception to this room, we went down to the reception and with coldest response ever they said ‘oh we were informed by housekeeping that you have checked out’ whattt ? Since when checkout comes through housekeeping not reception? This is scary if I wasn’t in the room my stuff and passport could’ve been stolen easily. By the way the other guest who walked to my room he was a nice guy he understood the situation quickly. Hope such an event doesn’t occur to other guards in the future.

We had a great stay in Hallstatt! Our room had an amazing view of the lake, and was well equipped. The l’occitane toiletries were also a plus. Dinner at the restaurant was fantastic, and the included breakfast was amazing!

Tourist hotel in historic centre. Ordinary but comfortable room, beautiful view of the lake. The absolute HIGHLIGHT of this hotel is the sauna suite which you can book for your private use. The whole area has one large sauna, for about 4-6 people and a seperate infra-red sauna for a single person. There is a shower area and several rocking lounges. After a long day sightseeing, this private sauna suite is most rewarding. This is only in the main building though, if you stay in their other sites, you will have to make your way here.

We really wasn’t made to feel welcome at this hotel. So I would certainly never recommend it. It was mainly the dining options and attitude of the staff. You couldn’t dine any later than 7pm and because of their preference for Chinese tourist groups, one evening they told us we couldn’t dine in the hotel because they were serving the group. We had the same experience for breakfast were they wanted us to dine later once their group had finished even though it was buffet style. The hotel almost shuts down by 9pm so if you wanted a few drinks after this time there is nothing open. This applies to the whole of Hallstatt too so not just the hotel. The hotel is located in a perfect area and is walkable to everything you would want. Just expect to be in bed by 9pm. I would never return.

Absolutely amazing. Loved and used the Sauna facilities everyday of my stay. I appreciated that a fan was provided for convenience during warm weather. Only wished there were more dinning options in the area. But overall, incredible accommodations. I would stay there again. Parking was $18/day.

We were lucky to get a view of the lake, our room was pleasant and the beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful and breakfast was good. We felt relaxed staying here and enjoyed the sauna, too. Dinner could use some improvement with serving size and taste. (our meal was huge!) I would certainly stay here if I returned to Lake Hallstatt.

The hotel has 3 buildings. Ours was the farthest from the lobby, a 5 minute walk. Even in the rain it was beautiful and pleasant. All of the rooms in our building have a lake view, and it is stunning!! One problem is there was only one chair by the little coffee table and there were 2 of us.
