Good resort with excellent sunset view. Not a swimmable beach. Would have been a deciding factor for me if it mentioned in the description. Shuttle to sister Rosa resort which has swimmable beach, however reserving the shuttle isn’t convenient. You can only reserve one way. The return shuttle has to be reserved once you get to Rosa. Even though it was said they have shuttle every hour, they didn’t have shuttle until another 4 hours when we asked. So basically you can’t count on a fixed return time. Can’t use uber pass the entrance gate which is quite far from resort. To get from entrance to the resort there is $17 taxi charge. No pressure timeshare style presentation. They gave tickets to one local excursions and we bought additional excursions tickets as well. When we went to book they said can’t book until after 9 days which was past our stay duration. The concierge service basically said to go back to sales office and ask for another company tickets. Went to sales office 20 minutes prior to closing (as soon as concierge said to change tickets). The person said I am leaving …come next day. Didn’t tell us whether we will get our ticket exchanged or refund will be issued. Basically we had spent $300 on excursion tickets for my family and upon asking sales person said they can’t do anything that day. Next morning we were able to get our tickets exchanged for an another company for additional cost. We paid another $150 for port fees and taxi.

First time here. Amazing hospitality. Well maintained pools/facilities. Kids enjoyed a lot. Due to holiday season there usually is wait for buffet/restaurants but manageable.

Old and Dirty rooms and smell bad. Food was the worst quality and service was poor. Took 40-50 mins even more to get your simple order like drinks. Transportation inconvenience, not really walkable and in certain times it could take 20-30 mins till you get shuttle. Even for free I will never go back there.

The resort is huge and spread across. As per the resort name, the sunset views are excellent from the beach you can walk (no swimming allowed), and the ocean-facing rooms. The resort has a free shuttle to the sister property where the beach is swimmable. The challenge starts with food. This resort does not offer a lot of vegetarian options (including in the buffet). So if you or someone in the family is vegetarian, please check the menu to decide if this is a good place to stay. Restocking the food items in the buffet is also slow. Considering the size of the resort, there is only one buffet place for breakfast and dinner, so you end up spending a lot of time sitting at the restaurant waiting for food. The wait time for breakfast/lunch at "The Market" restaurant is a lot and requires proper planning if you are taking a shuttle to sister property. We spent more than 1 hour waiting for breakfast to be served at the market. After the trip my kid jokingly says, we spent our time in "The Market" instead of the enjoying resort. Overall some staff is polite and helpful. Few of them show I don't care type of attitude. Room service is another option that requires planning. It starts with calling them to order food where you are put on hold for up to 10-15 mins. We ordered water at around 10:30pm and the room service woke us up around 12:45 am to deliver water. Same goes with coffee if ordering in the room. Ordered once for afternoon coffee and it was delivered after we left for dinn

I was supposed to get two queen beds instead they gave us 1 king so we had to share with our kid . The room was supper dirty and dusty . Full of moisture . I sent photos of all the dust stuck in Air condition ducting , bathroom fan and damages on the wall due to the moisture . Unbelievably horrible experience, everyone got sick I would rate 1 out of 5 , this hotels rooms needs serious remodel and maintenance . Food was way below average . I am requesting full refund of my money . This was the worst experience for our and our friends family staying next room

Overall, our stay was good, but I feel compelled to give 1 star for the check-in/check-out service. Upon checking in, we were informed that a $105 credit was available for activities or the gift shop. Based on this information, we purchased several T-shirts from the gift shop. However, when we checked out, we were told that our Expedia VIP (blue) status wasn't eligible for the credit. While I understand that we may not qualify for the credit, my issue is with the misleading information. The items in the gift shop are quite pricey, and I wouldn’t have made those purchases if I had known the credit wouldn't apply. Anyway I would still appreciate the person who helped us the check-in. She just told me we have $105 credit rather than $505, otherwise we may 'waste' more money in the gift shp. Thanks.

Pros: Dining at Mercado eateries was great. Particularly the 1950 Style American diner here Shuttles within property Suite service Nice views of ocean. We could even spot Whales from our suite balcony (although at a bit far distance) Cons: - Waiting in line at restaurants can be testing during peak season - If you are a vegetarian and/or teetotaler, then don't go for "all-inclusive". It is $$$ waste. They need to improve the vegetarian options at the restaurants. - Don't book airport transportation through them - Use uber. Other - * No swimmable beach here but they have frequent shuttle to Rose' property that is on Medona Beach shore. Awesome beach. Plus you can use their restaurants too.

This is completely cheating business. Food has very less options and most of them are not available even it mentioned in Menu. It was taking around 1 to 2 hours to get the food. Server was too rude and they don't have any interest to serve the food. everything is kind of controlled environment. Go cart was taking too much of time, Food was taking so much of time. half of the swimming pools were not heated one. In room heater was not working. we put a request and it took 48 hours to fix. It's huge property but useless with respect to fun.
