Disliked: Amenities, property conditions & facilities
I enjoyed the views from the pool and the pool bartenders were great especially Luty. The front desk agent Ingrid was also great any time we needed anything. She gave an excellent level of customer service. This is a great place to stay if you don’t really care about the kind of food you eat. All of the dining options are terrible and weren’t worth my time albeit they are included since it’s all inclusive. The service at the restaurants were horrible too especially the service at Krystal restaurant. I think Ingrid should be hired to train the employees on customer service too. Upon arrival the room was hot and muggy, some of the lights were flickering when we turned the lights on, and the toilet bowl wobbled back and forth which was nerve wrecking because you wonder if it’ll rip off and cause a flood. They don’t allow Uber drivers to come to the resort so they use their own taxis to take you anywhere and the cost for each ride is just a random number they choose. One of our friends was charged $95 USD to get to airport but we were charged only $80 which didn’t make any sense. I was quite disappointed this time because I’ve been to Riu before- service, food, & rooms were fantastic & I just feel like it went down hill. Just to be clear it is an all inclusive resort so the plus is you don’t have to pay for anything at all on-site unless you use the spa. The liquor is bottom shelf and you honestly don’t feel buzzed. We had the best time when we left the resort for meals & drinks.
