I was driving in and called and asked for an early check in since I had to be across town at 4:45pm and wanted to have time to change. Around 2pm, I received a call that my room was ready, which was great timing for me.
My room was very clean and comfortable. I had more space than I needed and enjoyed how quiet the hotel was. Even though the hotel is right off the highway, I never heard any road noise. In fact the only noise that bothered me was when my upstairs neighbors came in late and were stomping around, but that’s not the hotel’s fault.
I love the layout of the hotel with the indoor courtyard areas. It really is pretty.
I didn’t get a chance to attend the manager’s reception, since I had another engagement.
Breakfast wasn’t quite exactly what the pictures show from the hotel page, but it was still delicious. I saw waffles, oatmeal, honeydew melon, cereal, bagels, muffins, biscuits, eggs, potatoes, yogurt, and more. My favorite though was the build your own omelet. Just tell them which ingredients you want, and they cook that to order. I’m on a strict diet, and I was able to eat. There was coffee (both hot and iced) available as well. I do wish they had prepared meat like bacon or sausage on the buffet, but there was some in my omelet.
I’d be happy to return for future visits should I return to Lubbock.
