Looking for a bit of peace, rest and relaxation? Then this place has it in bucket loads, I have just returned from 16 days in the hotel and would return in a heartbeat ! The owners are attentive but not in your face or watching you all the time, if you ask them for anything or want advice they do their utmost to oblige, they make calls on your behalf to book the various activities on the island with no charge. The accommodation is made up of 6 individual converted little barns within one large complex of stone buildings. Our rooms consisted of a large lounge ensuite/bathroom and bedroom areas, with a fridge and safe facility. There is a beautiful swimming pool always clean and well maintained, the sea is literally across a small road in front of the hotel, but of course this a volcanic island so no real sandy beaches, but the islanders have got around this and the simply fit steps into the rocks and flat concrete areas to sunbath on! I read many of the reviews posted on trip advisor before booking and I have to say I found no evidence to substantiate any of the very few negatives made, the only point I agreed with is this is not strictly a hotel, however this can only be based on the fact the owners and staff are not always there and there is no reception area, well in my opinion the whole nature of this accommodation would change for the worse if there was a reception, and the owners give you their mobile number so that you are able to contact them should you need to
