Perfect location and lovely hotel
Great location (plaza España metro right outside) easy to walk the Gran Via and get to other tourist sites. Hotels was modern clean and great atmosphere. Room was large and comfortable with great view of the plaza (604). Shower was great. Staff were friendly. We stopped off at the rooftop bar and restaurant for some drinks and tapas - amazing views and reasonable price. Would absolutely stay here again when visiting Madrid in the future.

We enjoyed the sunset at the rooftop bar which is the main reason we picked this hotel. But the rooftop terrace was over crowded because the hotel offers ppl not staying at the hotel to access the rooftop for a fee.

Our Stay Was OK
The hotel was OK. The room we stayed in needs to be repaired, cleaned, and repainted. The heating system did not work, and the maintenance person could not fix it unless he powered down heating system for the entire building. The Christmas dinner was good. The New Years Eve dinner food was good; however, the service was horrible. Several times the maid took the keycard from our room when we were at breakfast; we were charging our phones for a long day out and about. We had four adult guests within our room, and quite a number of times we had to ask for an extra bath towel. The front door persons treated us and looked at us suspiciously each and every time we entered through the front door of the establishment. I could go on; however, I believe that you get the idea.

1) The room was good. We were a party of three and thus had to use the pull-out sofa bed, which made things a bit crowded, but if we were a 2-person group instead, it would be more than enough space. 2) The rooftop bar was extremely crowded every time we went there, but the view is sufficiently photo-worthy as to be worth going up to see at least once. It open at 10:30am, though food and drink service opens at 11am, and we recommend going at that time to avoid the crowd. 3) it’s near the quite a lot of good restaurants, stores, and tourist attractions. Everything is within a 20 minute or so walk, which made our entire trip very convenient.
