It lies 95 kilometres southwest of the nation's capital, Seoul.

Take a leisurely stroll and feel the gentle sea breeze on your face at Wangsan Beach or Eulwangri Beach.

You'll discover some pleasant natural attractions not too far from Meji-gol. Why not head 19 kilometres to TaeanHaean National Park? Alternatively, admire some of nature's finest artwork at Yeonginsan Natural Forest, 45 kilometres away.

Whether you want to learn about the religious aspects of the area or just sit back and relax in the peaceful atmosphere, the Seogwangsa Temple is the place to visit.

There's nothing quite like getting up at the crack of dawn and going straight to the ski lifts at Jisan Forest Ski Resort. Once you've explored all the trails there, pack up your snowboard and see what's happening at Ski World at Konjiam Resort.

The nearby localities of Seosan and Dangjin are worth checking out. They're located 3 kilometres north and 20 kilometres northeast away, respectively. Jump in the car and see what's happening!

The Chungbuk National University, the Heungdeok Temple Site and the Cheongju National Museum are all really close to Cheongju, 95 kilometres to the east. Want some more reasons to visit? The Cheongju Early Printing Museum and Jikji Pavillion are not far away either.
