Staying at the Regency camp was a nice experience. The location on the beach, among the dunes, is lovely. The beach cabanas and daybeds are great. Renting a quad-bike and riding around the dunes at sunset is not to be missed, nor is sitting around the bonfire after dinner. The tents are clean, comfortable, and well equipped, with minibar, safe, TV, phone, AC, electric radiator, robe, slippers, and toiletries. They definitely aren’t luxury hotel rooms and have no windows so it’s very dark inside, but you are only in them to sleep. The bathroom is great. Dinner and breakfast were ok. Lots of food, but nothing special.
This *could* have been a really amazing experience were it not for two major downfalls. First, the tents have a very strong musty/mildew odor. The smell gets much worse with the AC running. Second, they were blasting very loud music long into the night. It wasn’t good music either and kept skipping like it was being streamed over a bad internet connection, and someone kept changing songs partway through. So instead of relaxing by the fire to the sound of waves crashing on the beach, you felt like you were at a 3rd-rate night club.
Finally, it’s important to know that you can’t get to the Regency camp in your own car since it’s situated among the sand dunes (unless you are willing to deflate your tires and drive across sand). However, they provide complimentary pickup from Sealine Beach, but you have to call them in advance to arrange it.
