There is a holiday festival happening every night, and it was extremely LOUD. We couldn’t sleep for two nights. Fortunately, we were allowed to move to another side of the hotel, and the rest of our stay was perfect.

We arrived at the property at 8pm. The room we were given was backing onto a street party which was making the room shake and the sound was super loud. We asked to switch rooms and were told no rooms available. We asked to cancel so we could move to a new hotel where we could work/rest, they told us to contact Expedia. Expedia contacted hotel who refused to refund us. We were told the alternative was to stay in the same room and the hotel would give us ear plugs. We spoke to the front desk and manager for about 15 minutes who told us there was no room and no refund possible. Eventually they moved us to another slightly quieter room that smelled of barbecued meat. At this point we gave up and went to get dinner. The party ended around 2/3am and we could finally sleep. Terrible experience. The manager was sincere and in the end tried to help but such a nightmare to get help and wish they had of refunded us so we could have moved hotels and got a decent night sleep. More like a 2* stay.

My stay at the Barceló Reforma was amazing! Everything was simple, from check-in to checkout. The staff was attentive and responsive. The room was very large, including a spacious bathroom and closet. The hotel is also centrally located so it was easy to get to several spots I wanted to visit during my stay. I would absolutely book with them again, no hesitation.

Booked this property for 7 nights before Christmas, decided to treat the family to a suite for this vacation. After the 3rd day and entire funfair was erected in the street below our room with a guy shouting down a speak for hours and including music so loud it was like trying to sleep in a nightclub every night until midnight, a real shame for our holiday when we had activities booked every day and we were too exhausted to enjoy them. Front desk were very uninterested and offered us a change to a basic room, and didn’t seem to agree that perhaps we should have been made aware of this at booking or check in at the very least since it’s an annual event. Very much looking forward to leaving tomorrow. Room is always permanently cold and heating function doesn’t work, nor does the coffee machine and water constantly running down the inside of the windows down the walls every morning
